Review titled Supportive friendly doctors
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 October 2024
I went to see Dr e needing assistance for anxiety. I felt very supported and listened to. He gave helpful suggestions for where I can go to get support, and sent me those links for self referral as promised straight away. He also followed up with a call 1 month later to check how I was doing, see if there were any further steps he could take. I would recommend this practise, and thank you Dr e!

Review titled Dirty toilets
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Sylvia Collard - Posted on 24 September 2024
I had occasion to fill a sample bottle with urine. On entering the toilet I found the actual toilet to be in a filthy state. The toilet seat moved and I nearly fell off it onto the floor so my bottle remained empty as I was not prepared to try again

The new booking system works well. It was very easy to book and straightforward. Also, like the flexibility with various times and doctors to choose from.

Review titled Chaotic, disorganised and no doubt dangerous
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Karl Riley - Posted on 13 November 2023
I’m a patient at this surgery and I strongly advise anyone looking around for a GP to avoid it. The only circumstance I would say to register is if it is on a very temporary basis and you can’t find anywhere else, you understand how the NHS / public institutions operate, you are really on the ball and hands-on with your healthcare and you have the confidence to ask questions and challenge authority. If there’s any possibility that they will drop the ball, they will do it. Take appointments for example. If you call at 0801 as same day appointment line opens you honestly can find yourself #35 in the queue. Days when I’ve been lucky I have literally avoided taking any other calls or going anywhere in case I miss the call because they will only attempt to reach you once. Some days I’ve done all that and not even received the promised call. If you need sick notes you have to request them on a web form, which actually isn’t a bad thing, but I’ve had to request a few this year and not one of the sick notes they have given me was correct the first time around - dates and details would be wrong, despite them having the info that I’d typed into the form in black and white in front of them. None of the medical staff take a proper ownership and oversight of your health, I was awaiting test results lately and no-one bothered to call me to tell me, I actually completely forgot and was in the surgery for a separate issue for which the doctor opened my records on his computer, I spotted orange and yellow labelled parts with (!) and it suddenly dawned on me about the test results. Remarkably the doctor didn’t even notice, I had to point it out to him and ask whether it was my results. “No, no, ohh actually, yes” was his response and then I was added to the two-week cancer assessment list because of what they found. (Thankfully OK) I’ve given up trying to register for my online health records, I’ve taken my passport and ID upon their request in to the surgery, spoken to their tech team and been told someone will sort it - they never do. They will forget to make referrals, and you’ll be left without a proper way of chasing up what doctor it was because of the complicated structure of this surgery - where you could end up dealing with a doctor from around half a dozen of the surgeries that operate as part of Dun Cow/Nexus Health Group/Aylsbury Partnership. I could go on but I shouldn’t have to. Look elsewhere unless you are desperate.

Hi Karl We're sorry you did not get the experience you were expecting from us. We would encourage you to make contact with the practice team to discuss your issues further. https://www.nexushealthgroup.nhs.uk/contact Regarding your experience of getting an appointment, many of our patients now use eConsult where you fill in an online form and one of the team will respond to you in 48 hours with an appointment, or information if an appointment is not appropriate. Regarding accessing your record online, we recommend using the NHS app. You can download the NHS app from your usual app store or visit https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/ for more information.

Review titled Not a good practice
Rated 2 stars out of 5

I find this surgery understaffed. Not enough nurses available or doctors. I had to wait 5 days for a dressing to be redressed. Nurses and doctors are available at other sites but I registered at this surgery because it was easy to get to. Why should patients have to travel further particularly if they are not very mobile. To my mind it is a waste of a building. I have been offered a covid booster for the new strain but I would have to travel to Spa Road miles away. No thank you.! When telephoning one has to go through to a hub instead of reception at your surgery. Absolute madness.

Review titled Avoid at all costs
Rated 1 star out of 5
by N Sardinas - Posted on 28 May 2024
I was tricked into filling out the on line registration without the full facts of this service. I immediately asked for the registration to be cancelled ( The same hour on the same day) I sent several emails made several calls to Nexus> I was told that the registration would not proceed. I was then called 3 days later to inform me that I was being de registered. Then automatically I was Welcome to Nexus and my preferred GP registration was blocked. Very poor communication. and a ruthless sales practice

Dear patient We are sorry to hear about your recent experience when registering with us, and for any misinformation you and your friend received. We acknowledge that we did not act quickly enough to stop the registration going through the central system. Your registration with Nexus is not a barrier to you registering elsewhere, and unfortunately we do not have any control over how other practices deal with new patient registrations. Your friend has spoken to our team and the registration with Nexus has been cancelled. We hope you are able to work through any issues with your preferred GP practice. Nexus Health Group

Review titled Nobody answer phone calls
Rated 1 star out of 5

Attempted to contact multiple times and nobody ever answers. Spent 2 hours trying to call. Not sure what is the point of having a GP surgery where nobody ever answers phone calls.
