Review titled Poor quality of care and extremely unprofessional staff
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Els De Witte - Posted on 07 January 2025
I am writing to express significant concerns regarding my recent experience at Ealing Park Health Centre during a scheduled blood test appointment. The attending healthcare professional demonstrated concerning lapses in both professional conduct and clinical procedure. Upon entering the examination room, the doctor failed to acknowledge my presence or provide any form of greeting. More worryingly, he proceeded with the blood draw without offering any explanation of the procedure or obtaining verbal consent. The venepuncture technique employed was notably problematic, causing excessive discomfort. When I expressed concern about the unusual level of pain, the practitioner responded by repeatedly repositioning the needle - up to three times - which only exacerbated the discomfort. When questioned about his experience level, the doctor's response was dismissive, stating he had performed "thousands" of blood draws. Given the concerning nature of the encounter, I felt compelled to terminate the procedure and depart without the required blood test. This has resulted in a two-week delay in my medical care as I await a new appointment. This incident appears to be indicative of a broader decline in professional standards at Ealing Park Health Centre, characterized by deteriorating staff conduct and patient care. The lack of basic courtesy, proper procedural explanation, and appropriate clinical technique falls well below the standard of care expected.

Review titled Total lack of empathy and communication
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 07 January 2025
I'm absolutely appalled by how I've been treated over the Christmas period and the early weeks of 2025. A conversation with a pharmacist to review my medication sparked a massive concern that I could have cancer (which 3 weeks on, I still don't know if is genuine or not). I got a call on Dec 23rd from a doctor (with no pre warning) saying they needed to see me immediately as there was a risk of cancer. I was away from London and couldn't get back until Jan 5th. The doctor offered no empathy and I spent the whole of my Christmas worrying. I then had a scan on Jan 5th and the sonographer said they found nothing suspicious. The doctor then saw me on Jan 6th and couldn't say anything as they didn't have the results of the scan. Today (Jan 7th) I received a letter from the hospital saying I would be sent for an urgent appointment due to suspected cancer! Anyone with an inch of empathy on their body would have called the patient and spoken to them about the circumstances of such letter - which did not happen in this case. I spoke to the surgery today asking to speak to the doctor to understand what's going on and had absolutely no response. Everyone who's been ill knows that care and empathy go a long way - it's incredible to see how doctors in this surgery do not demonstrate any of it. Very very disappointed and saddened by this experience.

The doctor was very professional, kind and efficient. She referred me to West Middlesex Hospjtal for a breast screening and they contacted me immediately. The next day I had my appointment at the hospital. I am very grateful.

Review titled Terrible
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Linda serne - Posted on 25 October 2024
After my appointment this morning at Ealing Park Health Centre, I wouldn't recommend this practice to anyone lately. Since the new staff, the treatment and care you receive is shocking. No time or care out into my appointment with the doctor. I suffer from extremely high blood pressure, and he wouldn't check my readings. You leave with more questions about your health than you do answers or solutions. The new doctors have no idea of previous health history, which is critical when you have serious long term conditions like myself. Feel very disappointed and let down by this surgery.

Review titled Kind and thorough service

In my last appointment for my children I felt extremely supported and heard, my babies were examined and checked in a very kind and respectful way, I was give valuable information that put my mind and heart at peace. I hope that doctor knows that she makes the world a better place. Previously this month I went for an appointment with another doctor, for myself on the occasion, and also she was so attentive and caring, that made my day better. I thought the least I could do is make a formal complement about them.

Review titled Check up over 40yo and cancelled appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 15 September 2024
I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with my GP Ealing Park Health Centre. I really don’t use them much, unless I need it, however, even when I need them, they are not available. 12th Aug I felt a pain in my calf where I could not put my foot on the floor. Knowing how things work here, I didn't go or call the GP. Stayed at home. 19th Aug pain was worse and hematomas were appearing and very bad swelling in my ankle. Went to the GP and asked for a last-minute appointment. Answer was: send the information and pictures online and we will call you back. I did it and the call later was to book an appointment on the 17th of September!!!!! And wasn't even the doctor who called me, so they could not give me advise what to do and they sent me a link. That Link did not work for days. 28th Aug, things got worse and I thought it was thrombosis. Tried the link that morning and worked. They called me to see me 11h50. Doctor said : ibuprofen and ice ( which I was already doing since 12th) I said that I would like to keep the appointment for the 17th of Sep as I wasn't sure how this was going. Same day asked the reception about the 40 years old check up. Reception: let me check if you are entitled to have one. Me: huh ??? I'm over 40 and never got the info about this, I saw online. She couldn't tell me the reasons but was able to book me for the 11th sep. On 3rd of September got a text message saying that my check up was cancelled ( not surprised ) and on 09th sep got another text saying that the doctor for the 17th of Sep is unwell and not able to attend on the 17th. So, 8 days before the appointment you already know that you are unwell?? Luck me ( actually unlucky ) I was hit by a car riding a bicycle in this meantime and had to go to a&e. There at least they had a look at my calf and understood that although doesn't look like to be thrombosis, I spend a lot of time flying and that can cause more problems in the future and could evaluate my calf and my coccyx ( injured when I was hit) At this point, I really don't know what to do anymore. But I know that this is not what I'm expecting for my health, especially getting older, I don't feel safe because I can't rely on the services provided.

I had a medical issue while on holiday and returned to see a Dr at this practice. Dr Thakar was so helpful. She treated me with respect, helped me really understand what was going on. I arrived anxious and worried and left feeling cared for and with a plan of action. I cannot overstate how nice it is to feel listened to and I really appreciate Dr Thakar.

Review titled Excellent holistic approach! Thank you
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Andrea Davies - Posted on 12 July 2024
My phone appointment yesterday afternoon was to discuss the results of a a series of repeated blood tests; I was advised to only take a daily cod liver oil capsule. The GP took the time to explain the test results which had not provided a clue to my presenting health problem. The GP asked questions about other tablets taken; this led to identifying one which is probably accounting for my problem. I was advised to stop taking it, and arrange for a phone review in 2-3 weeks time.
