Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Rod Baker - Posted on 02 October 2024
Had an abnormal blood test result and was messaged to see a doctor- tried to book but no appointments available in the next 16 weeks ! The same page offers services to new patients ? Absolutely awful service from a surgery I have been with for over 20 years

Review titled Some excellent, some....
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Wendy Stanton - Posted on 20 October 2024
The receptionists are always kind, cheerful and helpful! Recent appnt with Dr Bart was outstanding !!! He was really thorough, patient, interested and concerned. No pomp, airs-and-graces or poor attitude. The appointments were running very late but he is worth waiting for! On another note the call-on-the-day appointment system must be revisited; if no appointments then try the next day or the next or the next etc; so many things could be treated early but are left toooo long. Also I'd like to know what happened to the system of sending pics to dermatology directly please Thank you!

Review titled Earls Barton pharmacy review- phenominal
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Megan swan - Posted on 30 August 2024
I called the GP practice for an appointment for strep throat. I was meant to receive a phone call but nothing happened. I called my the pharmacy to see if they could help and I was seen in 20 minutes. I was seen by a locum pharmacist, the consultation was thorough and efficient. He treated me with kindness. I left with the antibiotics I needed quickly after. Wonderful service.

Dear patient, We are sorry that you have had to comment regarding your appointment issue. May I ask if you could contact the Practice and ask to be transferred to Extension 2012 and ask for Ms Higgs who will seek to rectify your issue. Kind regards Practice Manager

Review titled Asthma
Rated 1 star out of 5

Waited on phone for half an hour without moving up the queue, visited in the day to try and get asthma medication in person but turned away by reception. It would seem an asthma attack is not life threatening

Review titled Awful Level of Service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 February 2024
I requested a letter from the doctor confirming my long term health conditions at the beginning of January and, having followed this up with a phone call the following day, I was advised it would take three weeks. The day after this (day 3), I received an email confirming receipt and that it would take 21 working days to do the letter. It is now working day 25 since I sent my request in and I have followed up with 3 phone calls, 2 in person visits and, 1 email and I have been fobbed off and ignored every time. My most recent email has not been responded to and I am still waiting for a call back with an update which I was promised 2 days ago. I didn't ask for this letter for the fun of it and there seems to be no regard for the real world consequences of not having this letter and going well over their own specified time limits. Quite frankly, 21 working days to write a letter is a disgusting long time and absurd to make people wait that long but to then go over this and to just not provide any information is such a poor level of service I am looking at other surgeries as I cannot continue to be treated this way.

Review titled Receptionist
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by Jason French - Posted on 24 January 2024
Always extremely difficult to get through on the phone to make an appointment at this surgery but I think this is the case at most surgeries these days. Anyway, the reasoning for this review is the lady behind reception today (24th Jan) was really lovely. She really couldn’t have been anymore helpful and made the visit to the surgery a pleasant experience. Just thought she deserved some recognition for doing such a wonderful job. Thank you.

Our Practice staff were happy to receive such lovely feedback. All of our staff work extremely hard to support our patients and a feedback like these mean so much to them. Thank you very much. Earls Barton & Penvale Park Medical Centre

Review titled Constantly cancelling my appointments
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 30 March 2023
In the last month I have had extreme pain to which over the phone I was prescribed high strength pain relief tablets and when I then was able to get an appointment in person with a doctor to discover the reason for the pain. My appointments were cancelled, this happened 4 times. I then ended up having to have an emergency surgery due to the chronic pain, this all could have been avoided with proper GP support. I am now off work sick for another month. To make matters worse my follow up appointment post surgery and discharge has now been cancelled. This has truly impacted my life and my families life.

Review titled Great practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 19 January 2023
I have had the misfortune since Xmas to need to call 3 times and every time I have called ( have had to wait a little while each morning between 5-15 mins but this is to be expected) the receptionists have been helpful and considerate ( I always explain my symptoms) . Each time this has resulted in an appt and the drs I have seen have been lovely ( one at each surgery as Earls Bart), patient and informative. I would recommend this practice. I have been a patient here for 25 years
