First time visiting East Trees and I was struck by how welcoming the atmosphere is in the practice. Everyone was very warm and friendly. I feel lucky to be in the area. Thank you to the East Trees team.

Have struggled to book appointment, so after 52 minutes gave up. Can find no way to book appointment with nurse to change a dressing on a post-operation wound. Tried NHS app and Patient Access. Problem getting password accepted. Just cannot understand system... Please make it easier. Test it out on non-tech geriatrics first!

Today I received poor care from the practice. There is no way to easily communicate feedback to the practice. The website shows to clear way raise concerns. To book an appointment I needed to waiting on hold for 2 hours.

You can always feed back via our generic email address: bnssg.easttreeshealthcentre@nhs.net You can also use our e-consult service on our website to book an appointment meaning you do not need to wait on the telephone. I had an appointment with my Doctor and she was very patient, compassionate and extremely thorough with any checks/ tests I have been put forward for. She was very reassuring and even after the appointment made sure to send me off with more tests and some helpful websites to look at with information on my health issue. I have only ever had positive experiences at this surgery. Thank you very much, I appreciate all the help and compassion. It feels like the people who work here really care about their work and their patients. Couldn’t recommend more!

I received three text messages over 5 days reminding me of ny phone appoinment slot between 8:15 and 10:15am. I changed my working schedule to suit this, and yet did not recieve a call. This appointment was wasted, which costs money and resources at a time when budgets are very tight.

Dear Mr Smith Thank you for taking the time to feedback. I note you only registered with us on 11th November and a call was booked with your GP on 19th. We usually specify a window of 2 hours for calls as often emergencies take priority. Dr Cox called you at 12.10 and did not get a response so apologies. Please let us know via e-consult when you may be available in the next few days and we will do our best to accommodate but we do ask patients to keep their phones on at all times if possible. I wasn't able to get my prescription at my regular pharmacy or the other ones nearby due to it being out of stock but the GP was able to direct me to another pharmacy within the time frame I needed it.

Thank you so much to the doctor who saw my son today. She treated him so kindly and with great interest encouraging and inviting him to share what was causing the pain. He is really confident about returning to see a gp in future should he need. A wonderful, caring, supportive doctor. Thanks

I recently had to undergo 2 frightening operations for an incidentally-discovered condition and my wonderful GP organised contact between me and the welfare coordinator. I also had a very helpful and kind follow-up appointment with my doctor's GP 'buddy'. The main purpose of this however is to sing the praises of the welfare coordinator who was/is able to facilitate practical help and, more importantly, has provided me with kind, understanding and empathetic support which has made a real difference to the otherwise quite stressful and at times isolated situation I've been in. She has been so understanding, is clearly very good at her job, and is a lovely person to boot, which never goes amiss! Thank you and thank you East Trees... I feel lucky that you are my GP practice. Had an x-ray followed by a text from my GP telling me to book an appointment following this. Attempted to book online but was told this was not an option. Went through to switchboard at the surgery and was on hold to make an appointment for 2 hours and 20 minutes. This is a totally unacceptable wait time.

Hi Mr Beach Thank you for your feedback. It is important that we hear from patients whether positive or negative. Our telephone system is currently sub optimal and we really want to change it but currently receive no support to buy out the contract - 5 years to go! We are in talks with our commissioners as it is vital patients are not kept on hold unnecessarily. If we had a call back facility it would help! We encourage patients to use our e-consult service via the website as we clear these daily and it is much quicker. I apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate how frustrating it is for everyone. Kind regards Val- practice manager
