    After a total of 6 phone calls the receptionists have failed to resolve an issue with a prescription. Was told I needed a telephone appointment to re prescribe a medication. ( no available appointments) only to be told on the 3rd call and after a 54min wait that an appointment was not necessary and the medicine team would arrange a prescription. 3 more calls late still no prescription and now 5 days without medication. They should be ashamed. No apology. Just uncaring apathy.

    It’s almost impossible to get a same day appointment at Eden Medical in Carlisle. I called at 8am today and was on hold for one hour and 37 minutes. When I got through I was told all the appointments were gone and that I should try again on Friday (not tomorrow as they only work a half-day on Thursdays. Pathetic. Awful practice, avoid or you will regret it.

    On numerous I have had to go to the practice to sort out prescriptions which are wrong for both my wife and myself.items missed off, prescriptions missing and late. Apart from one receptionist, I have not had an apology, when speaking to someone it has always been another persons fault, and I will have to wait another 4 to 7 days for the prescription to be filled. Not the service I expect

    4 times this week alone I've sat on hold for the best part of 3 hours trying to get through. I eventually got through on my 2nd attempt and was told that I couldn't have an appointment as none were available and would need to call back the following day!!! I was advised that maybe I should see a pharmacist....!!! Not the response I want when I had a significant concern about my child, but nether the less did and was told yes to get it checked and even got grumbled at for bothering a pharmacist about a medical concern. 3rd attempt I managed to make an appointment and on the 4th attempt where I needed to cancel, again I was on hold for nearly an hour just to cancel. This is a totally inapt and unacceptable service and is neither suitable or sufficient. I really dread to think how it feels for some people waiting on hold this long or if someone desperately needed help that wasn't deemed a 999. I'm guessing the hope is people will hang up and they don't have to provide a service. If we could, we would look at another doctors, but unfortunately, everywhere you look it appears the same everywhere.

    I called to discuss and arrange a non-urgent chat with my GP. They didn't even care who I was or what I wanted. Not even remotely interested, "If you want an appointment you need to call back tomorrow morning". Embarrassingly poor patient service.

    After 50 and 75 years+ my husband and I have been de registered Our nearest practice is deemed poor with many dissatisfied Patients and Eden Medical is our next nearest at 3.3 miles. Still taking new patients but within catchment. We are barely out of catchment but the care and continuity promised has been erased along with the purported value of compassion. We have always supported our practice and been understanding and always polite…. But we’re now over 70.

    Impossible to get an appointment here. They have completely disabled the online patient access form so that’s not an option. You can’t book in advance of the day- even if it is routine or they have requested to see you after blood tests results. Only way to get an appointment is to phone every day at 8am. Wait on hold for up to an hour. Then find out there are no appointments and then repeat every day until eventually you can get an appointment. This is the same of you want a nurse appointment. Furthermore they will do a blood test and then send results by text, prescribe medication and not discuss it with you at all. Not arrange a follow up appointment or blood test/tell you how long you are on the medication for etc. You can’t access your medical records online at this GP because? Who knows? Despite numerous requests. So best of luck with this surgery.

    getting the appointment is half of the battle- i called (and was on hold for 20+ minutes), before being told that i didn’t actually need to make an appointment and that the receptionist would pass on my request to a doctor for a prescription, only to be messaged and told that i’ll have to make an appointment in order for the acute prescription to be turned into a repeating one. they’re nearly always running behind- my most recent appointment was at 5:30, and I didn’t get called in until 6:15. once you’re in there though, the medical staff are attentive and willing to explain any questions or concerns you’ve got.

    Absolutely impossible to get an appointment, when answered receptionists rude, not at all helpful, what are you meant to do when you are genuinely not well, been poorly for over a week, does it take something serious to happen before someone will listen!

    Never answer the phone first time always on hold for at least 40 mins each time. Finally get through to be told sorry no appointments today and non to pre book. Is that a joke so how are we meant to see the doctor then. I’ve been suffering with peri menopausal symtoms for past year haven’t bothered trying to get into doctors went private and has cost me a fortune which I can no longer afford due to rising cost of living. It’s affecting my work and I can’t even see a doctor , told to call 8am each day it’s ridiculous. I don’t think they realise people work and don’t have time to sit on phone trying to get through at least three times before they even answer and then your told no appointments
