Rang at 8am and continued to ring to get in the queue for 15 minutes without success Rang again at 8-45 joined the queue as caller number 2 held on for 45 minutes to be then be told there were no available appointments but if I rang 111 very likely that they could get my 15 year old son an appointment !!! Alternatively we could go to A&E which we did and received excellent treatment from the hospital staff This surgery is failing to serve the registers patients to the detriment of the users and I would suggest the staff moral

I don't know why this surgery has an online booking system or even a telephone, because you can't get any sort of appointment. Tried this morning 06:30, as soon as the online portal went live and No Appointments Available. Then called at 08:30, once I got through after 59 minutes on hold, then the usual No Appointments Available. The call handlers seem to thrive on the situation. The usual advice: Make contact another day, go to A&E, call the out of hours blah blah just gtf or the nugget today was register at another surgery.

I have been trying to obtain an appointment with the GP for over a week. I have tried in person and over the telephone. It's appalling that in this day and age I still cannot get an appointment with the GP. It was suggested by the receptionist to attend A & E, however this is a total inappropriate use of this service.

Trying to get an appointment nearly impossible told to ring at 8 in the morning tried this was greeted with could not connect whwn I did get through all appointments taken

I made an appointment this morning via the online service and had a telephone consultation. I was then asked to go in the surgery for a face to face appointment. I was delighted with this service. The doctor was extremely thorough throughout the consultation. He was very reassuring throughout the examination and even added a personal touch by asking after my husband and children. He took time to talk through my symptoms and I left the surgery with a plan in place, and an uplifted mood. Fortunately I don’t have to have too many GP appointments but whenever I do, I’m always impressed at the great service offered by Edenfield Road Surgery. We’re living in a time when GP’s are under a huge amount of pressure so to receive the standard of care that I have is extremely impressive and I’m very grateful.
