  1. Review titled Great practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have been a patient for nearly 10 years. All staff i.e. doctors, nurses and admin are fabulous. I always feel listened to and that action is taken to address any concerns I have about my health. I am so grateful to be a patient at this surgery. Thank you

  2. Review titled Some rubbish reception staff

Rated 3 stars out of 5

Everytime I ring up to make an announcement or find something out regarding my medication the reception staff don’t care. Or don’t do their jobs properly by not listening. I have missed so many important phone with my doctor because they have booked in the wrong type of appointment. And then it’s not on Mygp app. And they talk to you like your a piece of rubbish . Sick of it. If it wasn’t for my Doctor I would have left by know. But I have a strong connection with my Doctor and have had monthly phone calls with her for the last 7 years regarding my mental health. But reception are appalling. Especially the ones. Always come of the phone so annoyed.

  3. Review titled Excellent experience with one of the gps

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I had a telephone appointment today which I had booked a while ago - approximately a month but this was the soonest one available. I had booked it for a routine issue but after a problem became urgent this week, I spoke to the doctor about this instead. I am a woman and the problem was to do with miscarriage pain; having had an unfortunately large number of miscarriages in the past, my experience with any male doctors has been extremely poor. I have found them dismissive of the pain involved both physically and emotionally and I was dreading the fact that my booked appointment was with a male doctor. I couldn’t have been more wrong in my assumptions. The doctor listened to the struggles with pain I was having and why I hadn’t obtained pain relief from the EPU (I don’t usually have this much pain with miscarriage) and was both empathetic and reassuring in terms of prescribing my the pain meds I needed. I felt listened to, understood and not rushed and didn’t feel he was condescending, which is another experience I have had in terms of miscarriage care and to be honest, I was just genuinely surprised to have received such good care in relation to miscarriage. I spoke to the gp about what was on my scan and the specific problems with the foetus and my pain, and he respected what I was saying and my understanding (in relation to retained products) as opposed to patronising me, which has been my prior experience with any sort of miscarriage care, not specifically in this practice. The care is very poor generally in this area across the NHS, and I do have a lot of experience of it, and to have this good experience of care today made a huge difference in terms of my wellbeing at a difficult time. This review does not allow me to mention this specific doctor by name but I would reassure women that this is a practice where there is good care for miscarriage, and it’s a fact that sometimes the gp as opposed to EPU is the appropriate service. I wanted to leave this review as I think empathy for patients is of the utmost importance and it’s something that sadly we don’t see often anymore. I have very deliberately included specific details of the consultation here (they’re not identifying though or revealing about my identity) because I think it’s so important for women to know that they can access good care in relation to miscarriage at this practice should they need to, and I also know that I have always worried about seeking any kind of miscarriage care and reviews like this would have been reassuring to me over the last 15 years had people left them!

All staff were professional and friendly in addressing my health problem. Indeed my wife and I both find the practice to be outstanding in all our contacts, including medical reviews and specific issues.
