Friendly, welcoming and helpful reception staff. My husband is a cancer patient and every time I’ve popped in the ladies have pulled out all the stops to accommodate us.

I had to visit this clinic on several Occasions this year. The doctor was reassuring and helpful. Whilst the outcome wasn’t the best senario without the persistence of this doctor my issue may have been overlooked. I even got a phone to see how my hospital appointment went. First class service shame about the wait for appointments - GPS have to realise that waiting two weeks for an appointment isn’t acceptable.

Receptionist on the phone triaging for appointments was incredibly unhelpful, rude and made it clear she thought I was wasting her time. I feel really sorry for all the people who are in pain and distress who have to put up with this GP service because they have nowhere else to go when they are ill. Absolutely horrific. Made me feel even worse than I already am. She didn't want to help answer questions and in the end I had to resort to calling 111 instead of going via her and the GP to get the assistance i needed, where the service was more helpful.

Service here is absolutely appalling. Truly disappointing and have finally decided to leave this practice as it's significantly impacting my mental health. The receptionist appear to be clueless, no one ever seems to know what they are actually doing and they all contradict each other. I am on anti-depressants and I have repeated prescriptions and I can't get them until I am seen by a GP. It takes multiple attempts to get through to the appointment line and when I'm finally first in the queue the line drops and I'm back to square one. If I manage to get an appointment I'm given an appointment slots within 3-4 weeks!! The website they continuously refer patients to use is awful and hardly ever works.

I want to know my blood group ASAP as my daughter who had a baby is very very rare blood group and I'm concerned re my underlying health and history of blood clot

Trying to get through to get an appointment is horrendous. Today’s wait was 45 minutes for my call to be answered to then be informed the next standard appointment is in 4.5 weeks time…appalling. It’s pot luck with the reception team too. Some are really helpful and polite others far less so. I know the surgery is under huge pressure but this is no fun from a patient perspective and the wait times for calls / appointments really need to be looked at.

Thankfully, I’ve not needed to see a GP often. However, the few times I had to, it has been mission impossible (it’s been more so long since I saw a GP that I start to doubt if there are actually any working in the practice). When lucky, I got an appointment with the nurse practitioner (who thankfully are very good). Otherwise, I’ve been asked to call in a few weeks as there are not appointments and the calendar for the next ones has not been released yet. Today, I visited the practice to get an appointment with the nurse and one with the GP. I’ve been told I’ll have to wait over a month to see the GP and 3 weeks for the nurse. The receptionist was very unsympathetic, abrupt and not interested in helping. When I said I could not wait a month, she said my case was classified as routine based on 1 symptom and a 30 second one way-conversation. I very much doubt she has the necessary qualifications to make that assessment so in the end is not just the unpleasantness that you get but also they put their patients lives at risk. I have no doubt they have a big workload but this is not an excuse. I worked as a nurse in the NHS for over 15 years and no matter what you always try to treat patients respectfully and with dignity. She made me feel like she was doing me a favour and I should be thankful to even get an appointment instead of being my right as a tax payer. No wonder why illnesses and diseases are not being detected early enough. Sadly, primary care is just getting worse by the day and the only resort for people is end up in A&E / hospital in order to be seen by a Dr which consequently overwhelms these services.
