    Been trying to get a prescription and was promised a call back today as had no no medicine since Saturday not been called back yet getting worse by the hour just tried to call and was cut off get your surgery together it’s shocking the two people I have spoken to were very nice and polite but nothing has happened and I am very ill

    Today was a good experience. I didn’t wait long. The doctor was quick and efficient. I had a dodgy looking mole. He has made an urgent referral.

    Firstly, I want to congratulate you for being officially the worst GP in Bristol. I must say it didn’t surprise me to see that rating. You misdiagnosed me at least three times within the last two years. Your lack of organization is evident everywhere. The system to book appointments only on Wednesdays, requiring patients to spend most of the morning waiting for a few hours in a queue, is absolutely crazy and highly inefficient. Overall, a very disappointing experience

    Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear that you feel you are not getting the best care or service from us. It would be good to try and investigate your case further with regard to the misdiagnosis, if you wish us to do this can I ask you to submit a formal complaint; please see our website on how to do this. We have tried to look at different ways of offering our routine appointments, they are currently offered from 10am on a Wednesday. However, whilst we have come up with different ideas unfortunately they require more time and staff resource, which we currently don't have in the current "climate". Our new phone system does offer a call back system so that our patients can avoid waiting in the telephone queue.

    I visited the surgery this morning to request an appointment, was told to ring after 2 (why couldn't I make an appointment there and then?). Rang after 2 to be kept holding on for 25 minutes whilst some irritating man kept telling me how important my call was. After 25 minutes was informed my position in the queue was 20!! I hung up. I am in pain but apparently that is something this practice do not consider is important enough to warrant an appointment with a doctor. I am fortunate enough to have family who are willing to pay for me to see someone privately, many are not that lucky.

    Husband and I have tried multiple times to get appointments without success. When my husband did eventually manage to get one (after 3 weeks of calling every Wednesday at 2pm as advised), they had no record of it when he turned up. Now rearranged for mid September. This was a follow up, and was supposed to happen within a certain time frame which has now passed. I asked for a telephone appointment and was told there are none available and they had no idea when they would be available to book, maybe this Wednesday, maybe next Wednesday.....Push Doctor link sent to me and appointment booked for today. I logged in to find it had been cancelled and is again rearranged for tomorrow. So far, the only medical advice I've received is from the receptionist who said 'it's probably nerve damage'...thanks but a GP opinion would be great!!

    I was running late to get to the surgery on time, about an hour. On my arrival I explained to the receptionist my dilemma. The lovely lady asked me to take a seat, she sent an email to the doctor and within 10 mins I seen by a nurse and had my injection and left. Thank you for your amazing service

    Lovely welcome which set the tone for an easy conversation and dive into the issue at hand. I felt cared for, supported and we came to a decision for treatment that suits me perfectly.

    The good doctors appointments go quick but if u can get one of the good doctors, then I found him very understanding, caring and compassionate. So it's worth waiting abit longer to get the doctor you want.

    Your reception staff are incredibly rude and generally not at all helpful. We were told by 111 we'd speak to a GP however all we got was an obnoxious receptionist speaking to a clinician. They attempted to fob us off and send us to the Bristol Childrens Hospital, despite this not being an emergency. Once we had finally argued our case to see a GP the following day (after turning up at 8am to ensure we got a same day appointment as you can never get through on the phone), we were vindicated by the GP informing us 'The emergency room would not have been appropriate'. We were told to collect a stool sample, handed the tubes by the reception team. However were not informed of sample drop times -' just drop it back to us at the end of the day'. We subsequently missed the collection (we attempted to drop it off at 17:15) and were subsequently told we'd have to take another the next day as collection was at 1645. This was for our 5 month old daughter experiencing gastro issues.

    I finally managed to get through to the practice on my 3rd attempt in 2 days (after holding on for 25 minutes). Explained I have been in pain for 4 weeks but knowing appointments at this practice are rarer than hens teeth I have been attempting to self treat. As I am still in pain I requested an appointment. Given a telephone appointment in 3 weeks time! When I asked why such a long wait was told it was classed as a "routine" appointment. So my being in pain for 4 weeks is classed as "routine". I also note that the practice have failed to reply to the comments on this site. I was offered a video appointment with "Push Doctors". This is a private company who Emersons would presumably have to pay. Many older people don't have access or the knowledge to have video appointments and for myself I am not happy to discuss private medical details via an internet connection. Perhaps if the doctors at the practice actually worked 5 days a week instead of part time there would be more face to face appointments available.
