  1. Review titled Worst reception

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Okan Uslu - Posted on 08 January 2025

On our first gp practice visit we felt intensely himuliated. GP doctor was great but the receptionists, they were two, the way of giving intructions was terrible. They did not even tend to listen, just used some gestures. They just said few words and expected us to figure out. We sit in the waiting area because this was expressed by their body language. After a few while they wanted us come on the reception desk by hand gesture and have given us the sample bottle with incorrect label on it. They did not even give the my parner’s sample bottle. When I expressed this they were aggressively talking, this was we feel, and did not accept their fault. Eventually they corrected the labels and gave the sample bottle. We never expect this approach at NHS hospitals. Hope some constructive actions to be taken. The way they approach was not polite and descriptive at all

  2. Review titled Bad practice

Rated 1 star out of 5

Staff were rude upon entry. The person at the reception wasn't the friendliest. The staff actually administering blood tests are even worse. Rude to patients, dismissive and abrupt. They were yelling at those in the waiting room to take off their jackets. The room is open plan, so patients do not get privacy whilst having whatever treatment they're having. You can see people get their bloods, get transfusions etc literally from the waiting room, and they can see you. There's no barriers, and what they did have to give some sense of 'privacy' which I believe were foldable shields, not one staff used. I went to have a blood test, and my nurse didn't even read my form before inserting the needle into me. It was only after* she did this, she then realised they did not occupy all the things needed to do the test as I am getting a 'special' test, and told me to return tomorrow on Christmas Eve morning at 8:50am. I appreciate she was fairly apologetic, but she should have done her due checks before proceeding with the test and then putting under her breath as the needle remains in my vein. I had to ask a series of questions such as on how to book for a now new appt, what went wrong before we came to the conclusion that I had to return tomorrow. She told me I should just 'walk in', but considering the disorganisation I witnessed during my short time in the clinic, I asked her will they actually see me or simply refuse me, since I had to book to get the current appointment. It was then she told me I should 'book if I can' with uncertainty. I went to the reception to clarify that I would be assured an appointment before I left, since the failure of this one was at no fault of my own. As expected, the lady contradicted what the nurse was initially certain on/pushing for regarding me simply walking in, telling me that I just have to book online to hopefully secure a slot, shrugging her shoulders. Ultimately, the staff are rude and unfriendly and they do not appear to be certain of what they are doing. I would advise others to seek treatment elsewhere if they can, for a smooth and comfortable service.

  3. Review titled Extremly rude and unhelpful staff

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Katarina Durisova - Posted on 18 November 2024

I have contacted the GP practice when I noticed the medical record from my previous practice is missing. It appears nobody knows what should be done and instead of trying to get accurate information , they prefer to send me all over the place . On the first occasion they advised me they will look into it, when I haven't heard back I submitted another request and they called and said I should call my previous GP. My previous GP informed me they themselves need to request the record. I called them today and asked them to request my record and notify me once it has been rectified. The receptionist I spoke to today was extremely rude and said it is my responsibility to enquiry and transfer the medical record (???), I already enquired several times so I didnt want to call again and I wanted them to take it seriously. When I asked her name she hung up on me. There is a civilised way to convey a message , without rushing and raising voice. I really do not bother writing reviews normally but your staff need customer service training, and if they can not answer a query there should be a process to escalate it or get a call back when more knowledgeable person becomes available. Utterly disappointed with this attitude and customer service.
