I filled in the triage for online and within 30 minutes was given an appointment the same afternoon. I didn’t have to wait long before I was seen and thankfully was prescribed antibiotics for a painful UTI. I found the system worked very well for me. The nurse is knowledgeable, professional and kind, immediately putting you at ease. I have seen her on several occasions and cannot praise her highly enough.

We have made many changes at Fairbrook this year and so pleased that our new appointment system worked for you. I have always had excellent care from Fairbrook. The staff are pleasant and efficient. My most recent experience was with the clinical pharmacist to discuss some blood results but it coincided with a flare up of IBD. He was so helpful and supportive and rang several times to see if I had heard from the hospital. I really appreciated his concern.

Triage system, which I have now used 3/4 times for family is so much better than hanging on the telephone. Each time have had appointment within 20 minutes of submitting form. Receptionists and doctors most helpful, thank you.

I used the Triage this morning for the first time, I found the whole experience very straightforward and easy. I received a call back within an hour of submitting my details. I was given an appointment to attend the surgery the same morning; seen by the Nurse who was able to give me a prescription and advice which was very welcoming. Very impressed with the care and attention received. Thank you!

Having been a Fairbrook patient for many years, and having mostly poor quality experiences, my heart sank when I heard about the new triage system. I had to use it much earlier than I anticipated unfortunately. Initially I had problems setting up an account and then I completed the form only to realise it cannot be submitted outside of surgery hours. I was feeling too unwell to go through the process again. However the next day after a few more hiccups I finally managed to submit the form. I was phoned within the hour and given an appointment for that afternoon. My appointment was with the Advanced Nurse Practitioner who was fantastic. She was thorough, very knowledgeable and caring. Never once was I made to feel that I was taking up too much time and I was a hypochondriac. Thank you. My advice to other patients would be to set up an account so should you need to complete the Triage Form you are ready to go and you aren't grappling with it when you are ill.

Dear Patient I was so interested to read your review and great advice to our other patients. Our Total Patient Triage Appointment system is going very well and we are continuing to learn. Importantly we are able to help and see many more patients by directing them to the correct service, pathway and clinician, either in the surgery or elswhere. Many patients who were worried or anxious or were not able to initially submit the triage form are flying solo now. Our care Co ordinators are still available on the phone for anyone who has problems or are not able to do, or do not have access to the internet. I recently attended Fairbrook medical centre for multiple issues I had been experiencing. I can undoubtedly say that my experience was absolutely outstanding, from the receptionist to the Doctors.I received a very professional and thorough examination. I was made to feel very comfortable and felt very confident I was getting the best treatment possible. I have now been given a diagnosis and I'm receiving treatment for the issues they found. I would also like to say that I have used the nurse service on several occasions, and have found that also to be a great service. Thank you Fairbrook medical centre for your reassuring and professional service.

I was really apprehensive when I found out Fairbrook was changing it’s appointment system but now having used it three times for different appointments, I am finding it easier and less frustrating than holding on the phone for someone to answer. Each time I have used the form I have been phoned back. The appointment which was urgent I was called within half hour of submitting the form and offered an appointment that day. Another time the Dr phoned me within an hour to clarify and then arranged an appointment for a Saturday morning which was more convenient for me. Most recently I was called back by a Dr and given advice over the phone which was really helpful and a prescription was sent to the chemist by the end of the call. I always make sure I put as much information as possible on the form and I could also attach a photo. I find this triage way a lot more effective and am very happy with the change.

I was apprehensive of using the new system; I couldn't actually find it initially (possibly because I was not feeling well) but on calling the Surgery they explained how to access it. Within half an hour, I was given an appointment for that same morning which was what I had been seeking. Now that I understand how to use the new system, am very happy with it (and the GP who I saw that day was so kind and helpful!) An excellent Practice.

My hubby had both hip replacements via the hospital in Harpenden. Again the surgery helped him with the run up to his two operations in 2021 and 2022 both pre and pro surgery’s.
