Usually I find Fairbrook medical centre absolutely excellent, but on this particular occasion I was very distressed and the doctor was very unsupportive and not at all empathetic.

Earlier this month, I started to experience painful ears. One of the practice nurses told me that on examination, my ears were blocked and told me to make an appointment to irrigate my ears. I was given an appointment for the following week and I had my ears flushed out. The nurse was superb, I was called in to see her, on time and she was very professional and empathetic. Unfortunately, I started to experience a great deal of pain in my right ear. I completed the online triage form at 0830 in the morning and by 0900, I was contacted by one of the Practice staff, and I was offered, a face-to-face appointment for that afternoon. I saw the Doctor and she was delightful, she was very professional and caring, and she prescribed an antibiotic spray which has worked successfully. I was seen on time and I picked up my prescription at Wellswood Pharmacy within 20 minutes of my arrival at the surgery. My family and I have been with Fairbrook Medical Center for over 36 years now and we would be at no other medical practice.

I needed to see a GP today for a couple of issues I was experiencing,first of all I had to go through a triage process online, this was extremely helpful, much better than waiting in a telephone queue. I was contacted extremely promptly and given a appointment within the hour. I was given a examination and a diagnosis of my symptoms, I was left feeling very assured by the Doctor. I truly feel that Fairbrook medical centre provide a great friendly service.I would happily recommend them,many thanks.

Quick and easy once guided through how to use the service. Fast reply from receptionist who arranged a telephone appointment call from Doctor. Dr called back within 1 and a half hours.

Today, calling Fairbrook Medical Centre and speaking to the receptionist, I felt I received the best service, not just within the medical field but in general, compared to local authorities, etc. The receptionist was caring and understanding of my concerns, and their willingness to help was second to none. I am truly grateful for the receptionist's professional assistance and experience.

Hi Fitz Thank you so much for your compliment and information. Our receptionist / care coordinators often take the blame for the NHS capasity and demand and this review will mean so much. I wish I knew which care coordinator had helped you, as would like to thank them and also use your call as a training tool. Would you would be able to go to our website and submit an admin 'other' form, would you be able to put your full name and number you called from. Then I would be able to look up your call. The new triage system for booking appointments is a vast improvement from the old telephone appointment system. My experience today was excellent and was called back within 30 minutes from filling in the on line form

I have had several occasions of needing to use the new triage system since its inception. For me, it has significantly reduced the difficulties and stresses of making appointments, seeking advice etc. Within a short time, sometimes as little as minutes, I have either received a call or text from a GP, or a member of staff advising me of an appointment. Well done Fairbrook!
