It's impossible to get an appointment. You have to phone at 8am on a monday morning to try and book an appointment 4 weeks away. If you dont get through straightaway all appointments are gone. You have to wait a week to try again. I can never get through.

At these “trying” times where it appears impossible to make an appointment with a GP at this practise before a 4 week wait (for a follow up appointment) the rudeness of one particular robotic receptionist makes the whole process/experience so much worse. The doctors & nursing staff I have no complaint with (when you actually get to see them) the booking system & “availability of appointments without a long wait” is the issue here, along side the uncaring very curt attitude of this one receptionist that lets this surgery down.

I have private insurance but trying to get my referral form completed by a GP was like pulling teeth, plus there was a £30 fee! In the end I had to contact the patient advisory person whom I know to get this achieved. This practice needs a good sort out!

I phone the surgery this morning. Within 30 mins my query had been received and the problem solved. An absolute charming receptionist who could not have been kinder and more helpful Great service lovely practice. My son and I very grateful. Many thanks again for all your help and very prompt reply. I am sorry I couldn’t write your name

I and my parents have been with Fairlands for 60 years and through all the changes their service has remained high and professional, Nowadays you may see a different doctor by phone or in person However this makes absolutely no difference to the ongoing treatment of medical problems with continuity of care until resolved The NHS is definitely under pressure but Fairlands continues to deliver a high service.
