  1. Review titled Outstanding service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Chris Ward - Posted on 09 October 2022

My mother in law (90) was showing signs of distress, and more confusion than usual. We would have struggled to get her to the surgery, and she would have been more distressed. No problem - doctor called in the same day, identified the likely issue and prescribed treatment, all in the same day. This is the latest example of great service from the practice, always willing to help, and with practical responses. From reception to nurses to GPs, everyone does their best to help people who are unwell.

  2. Review titled Eczema on face

by Justsomeone - Posted on 26 September 2022

Contacted my surgery last week about my face and neck being extremely itchy and painful due to eczema (I used to be on an ointment called dermovate, that they stopped saying I needed a review, which they haven't got back to me about). I was told that I'd get a call back later that day. The next day, I had a text waiting for me, asking for me to send pictures, to which I did, no response. It is now a week later and still no response. I called the surgery again, they checked my file saw that I had logged an econsult last week and again they said someone will contact me later that day. Just received a text message that they will give me a call me in 10 days time. This is 17 days after my initial consultation, for something that I have sent in photos and have on file for a preexisting medical condition. How is this even possible? Can barely sleep, itching till I bleed, let alone being in a customer facing position.

I hope your husband in better and sorry for your experience. Please note we are not an emergency service and are not a walk in service this is at WBCH. The summer months are always the most stretched for access due to staffing shortages.

  4. Review titled Such Poor Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Elizabeth Pickard - Posted on 05 August 2022

I was seen by a Doctor outside of my Surgery and he recommended I speak to my Doctor and request to be referred to a specialist. I tried calling my surgery and they requested I book an appointment by econsult which I completed comprehensively on the 1st August 2022. They responded with their earlier appointment for the 19th August and they cannot guarantee a call with a Doctor. All I want is a referral letter…..why do I need to wait so long. The service is incredibly poor.

All eConsults are looked at by a GP and then action taken accordingly. If it was not thought to be urgent then it can take up to 2-3 weeks.
