I'd like to start by saying the once you can get through to a clinician at the practice then the treatment & help you receive is excellent. Unfortunately reaching this point is as hard as finding a unicorn in the woods! Rarely unwell but recently finding myself in need of GP services I have found that the stress of knowing I have to contact the GP surgery at 8am makes me feel worse. Today, after 203 phone calls, (which weren't on redial just intermittent ringing), I've given up and will try again tomorrow. I don't want to complain without making a suggestion, so would it be possible to have a call-back system on the phone? Patients can then keep their place in a queue whilst being able to do other things. We are thinking of leaving the practice because of this inability to get through and that is such a shame.

Recently, we have employed an additional receptionist to try and reduce the waiting time on the telephones for our patients. We are always looking at ways to improve our service. Whilst whenever I get to meet a member of the team I always feel as though I have been treated in the nicest way and feel reassured. However the process of getting an appointment or to speak to a member of the medical team feels like your banging your head against a brick wall.

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry that you have been facing difficulty in booking an appointment. We are always looking at ways in which we can improve our systems. As well as offering pre-bookable appointments online via NHS App, we have also increased the number of pre-bookable appointments available when contacting us via telephone. We have increased the number of online consultations via Patchs which are available daily from 9am. I am glad to hear that you are treated well when you meet a member of our team. We have recently increased the reception team and next week, we are introducing a call-back system on our telephone system, to reduce the time needed to keep on the telephone in a queue and instead have an option for our team to call you back. Ineffective GP Surgery. It is clear that the Surgery is very poorly run. It lacks the pragmatic approach required to provide a good patient service.

The nurse who helped us with our holiday vaccinations was pleasant, polite and cheerful. We have visited various nurses over the past few weeks and the experiences have been positive. Thank you

I have never had a bad experience with any gp or staff member at this surgery. Phoned at 8am had phone triage at 8.40am and app at 10.45. GPS always take the time and never rush you.
