    Waited some 45 minutes on the phone for a response. Got to number one in the call queue and waited 25 minutes. Does this mean no one answers? Gave up in the end. Brain pain listening to the same music.

    Dear Ron Sorry to hear of your bad experience using the phone. Our reception team works flat out to answer calls as quickly as possible but demand can be extremely high at times. Your feedback is concerning so it would be really helpful if you could contact our management team with details of the date and timing of your call so we can check there wasn’t a fault at that time and investigate the issue.     I called the surgery in a very distressed state, the receptionist was excellent with me as I was very upset. A doctor called me back within 15 mins and had me in the surgery within an hour to discuss my needs. A very prompt referral to a member of the team for counselling and a prescription were issued to me. Everyone who I dealt with regarding medication, counselling and even booking my appointments were excellent. I sat on several occasions in the main waiting area, and listened to the challenges that the receptionists are constantly dealing with. I was very impressed with everyone. It is frustrating as a patient trying to get through on the phone, but just remember it is not the receptionists fault, every industry is dealing with staff shortages at the moment. Thank you to the surgery.
