Dear Mrs Webb, Thank you for your feedback and sorry that you have had a cause for dissatisfaction. As per our discussion, the patient was referred to District nursing team for an urgent assessment and dressing on Monday morning. District Nursing team is not part of the surgery and we don't have control of their scheduled. It has been confirmed that the visit is planned for today and I believe they have attended this morning. We appreciate your time and effort to review our practice, we can only improve our services by receiving feedback from our patients. I hope that I have managed to address your concerns. If you like to discuss this further please contact me on 020 8299 1234. Kind regards, Oksana Bellerby Assistant Practice Manager FHRGP

Review titled received helpful vaccination information
Rated 4 stars out of 5
by catherine bootland - Posted on 16 December 2024
I have today attended the surgery to see the nurse to have routine bp and weight checked. She brought to my attention the availability of the rsv vaccine. Having had flu and covid vaccinations recently I wasn’t overly keen on having any more. She took time to explain the positive nature of the rsv vaccine which changed my mind. She gave me the injection and I feel reassured that I will benefit. It is reassuring to be able to be seen by kind and proactive staff as was my experience today. Getting older brings with it many uncertainties. Staying vigilant is paramount. Being able to depend on caring medical staff - and I might add reception staff too - at the surgery when things go wrong is vital. Hitherto that has been the case. It would be a disaster if this service was eroded or subjected to cut backs in any way.

I recently interacted with the person with initials IV and she was extremely helpful and supportive. She resolved my issue really quickly and her communication style was empathetic. Wonderful!

Review titled No link sent, no access for medication review
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by J Hobson - Posted on 19 December 2024
Hi. I was sent a message to arrange a medication review appt by clicking on the link in the message. No link was sent. Rang the surgery and pressed 8 for medication review. The very short recorded message said 'you need to go online at...." followed by an email address said so fast that, despite listening 3 times, I was unable to write down or understand what was said. I have tried every variation of fhrgp online and the nhs app, and cannot find a place that is helpful. Has anyone listened to that recorded message and deemed it fit for purpose as it is not? Please don't suggest the 8am phone call. Not only is it filled with urgent and anxious requests [mine is a meds review appt, not urgent ] but it is plainly cruel that you suggest this constantly whilst knowing that many people will not be able to get through. People who are suffering and desperate. I have generally had good service from this practise over 11+ years but this appointment system is truly appalling. . Thank you.

Review titled Hmmm... another positive review....

by Lennox Vanderput - Posted on 16 December 2024
Bad cough, so I contacted the surgery online 8am 21/11/24; received phonecall at 8:52;am was requested to come in at 10:20am. Thorough examination, at my request antibiotics were prescribed but only a cautious dose. Was that a fast response, or a speedy response? Cough got better.

Review titled Hypoglycaemia
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 23 October 2024
I came in today for a flu jab. I am diabetic, and during the long wait for my injection I noticed my blood sugar levels were dropping rapidly. I asked the receptionist if I could have a glucose shot - standard hypoglycemia treatment. She clearly had no idea what I was talking about and started giggling. I asked the lady who was going to give me my flu jab, I presume she is a nurse or healthcare assistant? She also looked at me blankly and said there weren't any, but she would bring it up at the next management meeting. The lack of glucose shots was confirmed by another nurse who entered the room at that time. I said that I could not believe that a doctors' practice did not keep a stock of them. One of the nurses asked if I had any glucose in my bag, which was not helpful, and suggested that I go and buy some sweets, which was also not helpful. Two questions: 1. Do your receptionists have absolutely no medical training whatsoever, and 2. Why does the practice apparently have no quick-acting treatment for hypoglycemia - it is an incredibly common, albeit dangerous, condition, or are they keeping them locked away for a special occasion?

Review titled Thank you

A couple of months ago I used the online service to describe a non-healing shoulder issue. I was given a physio referral. I was given a diagnosis and shown exercises and the issue is now almost healed. Thank you.

Review titled Impossible to get access for an important referral.
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 31 October 2024
I have tried many times to access an appointment for a referral. Every day it says "capacity reached". I had a skin cancer treatment and the follow-up letter from Guys said to be referred back if new lesions develop. I now have 5 similar-looking lesions on my forehead and need to be referred back as a matter of importance. How is this possible when I cannot access the surgery?

Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback and sorry that you have had a cause for disappointment. Sorry for the delay in answering your review. The provides on the day appointments for urgent issue. Patients are asked to call and discuss their problem with a member of the reception team, who are supported by a Care Coordinator and a Duty Doctor on a daily basis. We recommend to use online consultation for routine ongoing issue. Hope your issue has been resolved, otherwise, please call us directly on 02082991234. Review titled Swift work
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 10 September 2024
Filling in the electronic form is a pain -- but, with that done, I was contacted within the hour by a helpful and friendly receptionist, and within 2 hours by a no less helpful and friendly practice nurse. Maybe the speed of delivery was due to the symptoms I detailed, but no complaints from me today.

Review titled No access to GP again
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 September 2024
Yet again today I was unable to request an appointment for a medication review. The online form is 'full' and cannot be used (the same everyday this week). When I phone the practice, they say this is the only way to request an appointment - so effectively I'm being turned away. If I run out of medication, that's my problem not theirs apparently. The practice needs a massive overhaul of its patient access systems. Its simply not reasonable to insist that people use an online form that is never available.
