Review titled The GP you will never able to book
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 27 January 2025
I tried book the GP two times in different day by calling them at 8:30, the phone line said due to the staff absent, the phoneline only able for maximum of 15 people, they said I'm the 14th but still need to hang off and call again. I assume this GP might be a fraud.

Dear Patient Thank you for providing feedback. We are working hard to meet patient demand which is made harder by staff absence and patients not attending for appointments (nearly 300 in the last month). I am sorry that the phone lines are causing additional frustration. For patient and clinical safety we are temporarily limiting the queue to 15 at any one time but we are still managing to deal with over 250 patients every day. The issue with being cut off is sometimes due to the mobile phone network cutting off the call because it thinks the call has ended - this is a know issue and we have asked our provider for help but the issue has not been resolved as yet. It can also be due to multiple patients being put into a slot at the same and when the limit of 15 is reached the call is ended (but this should be with a message which explains). We are actively working to increase capacity within the constraints within which we operate but its not easy. We find it equally frustrating that we cannot meet demand. If you wish us to investigate your call logs then please email the practice with your details and we will happily look into it. Rich - Practice Manager Forge Health Group

Review titled Impossible to get an appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Helena Lath - Posted on 28 October 2024
flowers medical centre - For a working person it is impossible to get an appointment with a gp. I've taken time off work several times to try and support my autistic young person to get an appointment. I call at 8.30, and already 30 people in the queue, so cut off. having tried for several weeks, I don't know how this phone line works, it's impossible I've tried to call in an afternoon, but end up hanging up due to time on hold, and needing to get back to work. 6 months ago, I needed a routine gp appointment, I was sent to a&e, who then got angry with me and sent me back to the gp for wasting their time. I had to take 2 days off work, to get a routine but urgent task completed.

Review titled Poor continuity of care Patients unable to see GP
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Stephen Morgan - Posted on 17 September 2024
Tried to get a telephone contact with Gp but receptionist said all places had been taken, you can be on phone, i explained i had a fall and just needed pain killers she stated i needed to go to A an E i tried to explain again and said if a gp seen my records they would be happy to see me she asked me to hold the line this took all of 30 seconds, she stated she had spoken to GP and i was to go to A and E how a GP was able to see my records in 30 seconds as they are so busy they cant see patients yet the surgery is empty, So i went to A and E when i finally seen the receptionist and explained that i would not need an x-ray etc ect and that i had fibromyalgia and this makes pain worse also i had an operation just 7 days previous (day Surgery) she said i will send you to the hospital Gp and if they decide to x-ray i could go back without losing my place,, the whole of my A and E took 4 hours from start to finish and the GP agreed pain relief was all i needed , This treatment could have been done over the phone in less than 5 minutes Saving the NHS money and keeping the from stress and extra pain because all the sitting standing etc caused me more pain from my post op surgery on top of the fall,,, if this was a one off i probably would have left it but only 2 weeks ago my wife who has an autoimmune disease was put in the same position because of the injection she has she has a weaker system and is vulnerable to all sorts she called the Gp and explained everything and they refused to see her and told her to ring 111, I then had to take her to the walk in centre at 0930 pm for the appointment she eventually got, the consultant she seen was shocked her own GP surgery had not made her a space and advised her to complain , She had to have antibiotics for 7 days. Why are receptionist given so much power when they are not medically trained and do not have the ability to check our records to decide if we should see G.p.... Final Question please explain to me why a G.p practice as so few patients in the surgery and yet its supposed to be so full there are no more appointments , please can you explain how this is so

Review titled Receptionist not helpful
Rated 1 star out of 5

Asked to speak to a diabetic nurse as I had run out of tablets plus they were not working. Sugars going up too high even with tablets. She gave me an appointment in 2 weeks time, saying it was next available one. Wouldn't let me speak to a Dr. I blacked out 2 weeks ago because they were so high that's why I went on tablets. Now haven't got any. I was getting really scared, that's why I rung. she was so unhelpful. Been at this practice 34 years now but it has gone really down hill. Drs are nice when you can get through to them. Think I am going to have to change doctors.

Review titled Terrible
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Trevor - Posted on 24 June 2024
I rang 111 with an insect bite that got infected, they told me to have the following day off as I needed to be seen in 12 hours, they sent the information through to forge. I rang in the morning, sent photos through at 8:30am and while I was ringing them back at 10 to 6 that evening to ask what was happening the Dr rang me, I missed the call as I was on hold trying to ring them, I finally got connected and was told I needed to make another appointment. I hadn't had the first appointment.

Review titled Disgraceful

This surgery was one of the best pre covid, now I believe they’ve used covid as an excuse to become lazy with customer service and care. Most doctors are brilliant as are the nurses. The receptionist seem clueless and careless. Iv been on hold for 45 minutes just to be told they’re at full capacity, Iv had severe tonsillitis for a week that hasn’t cleared up, I can barely swallow but apparently this isn’t a medical emergency. Iv getting absolutely frustrated at the lack of empathy from a place that should have this at the heart.

Review titled Terrible patient care
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Deborah Egan - Posted on 02 June 2023
I had an almost fatal heart attack in August '22. When the brilliant team at Cardio care in the Northern General discharged me into the care of this GP practice my heart sank because I suspected I wouldnt get any after care or monitoring and I didn't. My medication was due for review in May 23 and the practice pharmacy hasnt been in touch with me as we enter June. Everything to provide post cadiac infraction care has been done by me. Thank God I can read and am resourceful. This is a terrible surgery and defined by its management inability and lack of compassionate care I really couldnt recommend it to anyone.
