I was very impressed with the approach of the receptionist when I reported a health issue for my elderly mother. The advice given was sound and useful. In the afternoon I received another call ( although I did not expect it) with further advice, which was also helpful. I hope this progress is maintained, as most of the doctors are of high standard however receptionists can affect the whole experience.

I have been with this practice for over five years, they really are attentive and will do everything they can to get an appointment as quickly as possible. The GPs are excellent and really seem to have a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience between them. I’ve always left there feeling a lot more confident and in good hands. Additionally, they are always very respectful and courteous, which goes along way these days. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone in the area.

Once I had the appointment the doctor gave me a friendly and thorough examination and diagnosis. Also got the comfort of referrals to other areas of NHS with explanations of what was to happen.

Thank you very much for your response, it helps us and our staff at this difficult time, our staff hear a lot of complaints, most of which are outside the scope of what we can change in the NHS

I called just after 5pm needed to speak to doctor , had to wait for nearly 20 minutes on phone until receptionist spoke to me , told I can’t speak to dr on that time , I asked to book for next day told can’t book for next day I have to call early in the morning to book , I asked to be booked any appointment at any time , told there is only 2 week appointments but they are all fully booked for all doctors and can’t book after 2 week . At the end I was not booked any appointment with any doctor .

I am sorry to hear of your experiences. Our appointments are used up within a few minutes of being released daily. There is no easy solution to this problem. Access to our services is not filtered and there are a number of our patients who use up our appointments for very minor ailments that could be dealt with by a community pharmacist. We are trying to educate patients on better use of GP services. Unfortunately this is a global NHS difficulty in getting patients to use the service that is appropriate and not contact the GP for every ailment. We are truely sorry for your experience and are constantly trying to make access better for all patients
