Review titled Worst practice I have ever used
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Abigail Knight - Posted on 23 April 2024
I have had a myriad of problems with this practice including rude and unsympathetic staff. My latest experience, I have been trying to access medical care for my 10 month old baby on the reccomendation of our health visitor, and have been denied an appoint 3 times ‘because the roads arnt up’ and to try again next Wednesday. So that would have been three weeks these apparent rotas haven't been up which is quite frankly unacceptable. At this point I feel like my child is being denied medical treatment.

Review titled Shocking practice
Rated 1 star out of 5

So disappointed and disgusted with the practice. Been trying for 4 days to get an appointment. Have tried 111 service and told to make a next day appointment with the GP. Still no appointments just get told to call back at 8am the next morning. Unable to make an official complaint on their website and unable to make any other contact with the practice as website won't give details. So ridiculous its laughable. Something needs to be done. Their system does not work

Review titled Reception experience
Rated 3 stars out of 5

Takes a minute to be pleasant and kind unlike the curt receptionist on the phone today who is defensive, continually talks over you and talks to you in a very over bearing manner. Please and thank you cost nothing. Not all the receptionists are like this but seems I get the same one all the time!!!!!

Review titled Request for Male Receptionists
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 22 August 2023
Why can’t we have a male receptionist. Many conditions exist that men do not want to discuss with female reception staff. I understand that you can ask to withhold details of your condition but you are usually coerced into disclosing personal matters in the interest of triage. It’s not fair that men cannot be extended the privacy of reporting men issues to men as women can request a female to discuss matters with.

Review titled Not helpful and could not care.
Rated 1 star out of 5

Need an appointment with Glemsford surgery, think again!! Tried making an appointment on two consecutive days at 8:30 in the morning, The woman on the reception phone was, very unhelpful and could not care less about trying to help. All she wanted was to get off the phone as quickly as possible. No wonder are NHS A&E is struggling when the local surgeries, just do want to help. Very disappointing, a waste of time and resource for the community.

Review titled Horrific experiences- great dr’s/nursea
Rated 1 star out of 5

Let me first start by saying I have had amazing experience with the drs and nurses in the practice. Reception and booking system are horrific (and that doesn’t do justice) phone up at 8am for a chance to maybe see a medical professional. I don’t know what they expect people to be doing but this system of booking in the morning is ludicrous! People cannot just get time off work like this! Bring back the old booking systems so people can actually see a medically trained professional, not be dismissed by a receptionist with a god complex! And some of the staff answering the phone are rude, dismissive and sometimes down right snotty!

Review titled Diligent Staff
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Dealings with all staff - doctors, nurses, reception and pharmacy - have, for both my husband and myself, been efficient and professional in our recent, numerous (unfortunately!) dealings with this practice.

Review titled This practice still giving a good service to patients
Rated 5 stars out of 5

There seems to be several bad reviews of Glemsford surgery but I can only report my good experience in what are difficult times. I rang to arrange an appointment to see a doctor at midday and luckily arranged a visit at four fifty the same day, after waiting perhaps fifteen minutes I was called in, listened to, examined and diagnosed by the most caring and attentive doctor. I left the surgery forty-five minutes later with my medication. The next day after starting my medication I was feeling much better. You cannot get better than this.
