    Tried to rearrange an appointment today, first time successfully and the receptionist was polite. I had to call again to rearrange again and receptionist not very professional at all. I explained that I'd had a bad experience with the GP I was assigned and the receptionist reply was 'ohhh no he's my favourite'!!! He's not mine and you should never question a patient!!! The phone line was poor, I ended up cancelling the appointment, absolutely cured of the incompetence of some of the reception staff. Still awaiting a call back regarding my father's failed appointment by the pharmacist, it's been 2 days!!!!

    Far too many security checks when requesting repeat prescriptions. Now I must have a smart phone to be able to order my repeat prescription on line. As I now do not have a car, this means I have to take a taxi to put in my repeat prescription request, I am all for security but there are more than enough checks already ( password, secret word and one time pass code sent to mobile) please let me know if there is any way I can order my prescription without a smart phone

    I put my prescription in to be filled in Tuesday for 2 months as going away. on Thursday get a message to contact them regards how many extra tablets I needed my dates of my holidays and where am travelling too, which really it's nobody business but my private business. But too busy arguing about it told them I am now out of tablets and urgently need them am a diabetic go for my prescription No prescription so no tablets now shut for the weekend so well done. how about putting patient's first instead of arguing over number of tablets I need for my month holidays. Told to ring 111 which is not an answer my prescription should have been ready to pick up. Plus I don't want to wait several hours for answer from them and to start running around trying to get my tablets which am told repeatedly in short supply. Very very poor show.

    Following a medication review I was assured my prescription would be available the next day. Having phoned several times over the following days it is still waiting to be signed. I only have limited about of current HRT remaining. I was unable to get an appointment earlier to ensure this did not happen. I am now left distressed at prospect of not having much needed HRT that has been life changing for me.

    I had a telephone appointment today regarding my mental health. I’ve been struggling massively but was sensible enough to take myself out of work and call for support. On explaining my reason for the appointment and trying to briefly summarise my situation, I was stopped mid sentence and basically told, ‘the details are a waste of my time’ and that a sick note wasn’t going to be issued at this stage so I was best calling back after a week had passed. I explained it wasn’t just a note I wanted, I was letting him know the magnitude of my issue so he could properly understand and conclude a diagnosis. He asked what it was I wanted extremely abruptly, to this I did show my frustration reminding him I was there for a diagnosis a professional opinion. I also stated it wasn’t great that I’d reached out to be told I’m wasting time and not being listened to. I explained I’d gone down the self help route and it hadn’t helped hence my appointment with a doctor today. He ignored this and told me of several websites I could visit claiming they may help and I wouldn’t need a note in a week. He was extremely patronising and I think at this point I started to get upset as the support for mental health is shocking. I reached out to be spoken down to yet the world shouts out for people suffering to speak up!

    I was planning a trip to the United States of America and as such would require 2 months supply of my medication. I went in to the surgery to advices them of the dates. They told me no problem, they would leave a note on my notes. I use the NHS application to order prescription's, and there is a place for note's. I over the preceding month left a note stating that I would require 2 months supply and why this was need. The following month I repeated the same and to order the two months supply. I checked 3 days later only to find that they had ignored the information, and so only 1 month supply was ordered. I went to the surgery to enquire only to be told that they were sorry they can only order 1 month at a time. They did say that there would be a request for another month supply but not until 3 days had elapsed. This is plainly incompetent, respect for their patients. I have notrust in their ability to work constructively. Don't use them!

  7. Review titled Extended waiting times for routine appointments

    Booked a routine telephone appointment for my daughter, waited 5 weeks for the appointment as that was the soonest available, told it would be in the morning. Missed the phone call due to work and being unable to keep 4 hours free in the day to await the call. Phoned the same morning to rearrange, next available appointment almost 8 weeks away. This used to be a great surgery, no complaints with the medical care - its just getting increasingly difficult to access.

    been with this practice 35 years and am now leaving so that should tell glenroyd something awful practice most of the recptionists are rude dont give you time to explain the problem and when you do there solution is walk in center all the time even when you ring111 and they say you have to be seen by your gp still no appointment definetley not sad too leave
