  1. Review titled Brilliant GPs and med students

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Lizzie Howe - Posted on 14 March 2024

I have had several consultations over the past few weeks and I want to say thank you to these clinicians for taking me seriously and treating me so well. They were compassionate and empathetic and answered all my questions and concerns. They were very honest about their impressions of my condition and were very reassuring. Both medical students were incredibly professional and kind. The med students history taking was incredibly thorough, yet she was so empathetic and compassionate and made me feel at ease. Both students are a credit to their med school and will make amazing doctors I am sure. Thanks once again to those above. I didn’t have very good experiences with doctors the week before in the emergency dept, which made me incredibly nervous about going to the GP. However, the way I was treated at the GP made me so comfortable, they made me feel as though they genuinely cared. Thank you so much, you made a horrible time much easier.

  2. Review titled Wonderful GP

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I attended my appointment with female Doctor at 09:00 this morning. I found her professional manner to be wonderful. She has a fantastic bedside manner - quality that is sometimes in short supply today, and put me at ease immediately. Thorough and reassuring with clear instruction on self care for my problem. Very positive experience. Thank you

  3. Review titled Unfriendly and confusing service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Ms R Hernández Flores - Posted on 21 February 2024

I have tried to make a follow up appointment several times already and I found it confusing as well as unfriendly, unhelpful and left me feeling why did I leave my previous surgery. I feel after this and previous interaction that I want to find a different better surgery.

This was for a blood test with nursing staff. Nurse was polite and positive and excelled in taking this sample leaving minimum bruising

A very helpful, informative meeting to discuss the results of recent tests etc. to do with blood sugar levels - all done in a very pleasant, professional manner.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I was seen on time. The health care assistant was friendly and professional. After taking my blood she checked if I was alright with tape. I didn't feel anything and don't have any bruising

I was seen by my GP on time. The consultation was thorough and I did not feel rushed. I have been able to book a blood test for next week at a time if my choice.

  10. Review titled Very Poor Customer Service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 29 February 2024

I requested a letter from the GP and I received a text saying it weas ready to be collected. I was away with work so drove 45 minutes to collect it, but they couldn't find it, so I was asked to come back. Whilst I know these things happen, it was a significant waste of my time, for nothing but poor administration, so I logged an informal complaint, asking that the fee be waived. After making another 45 minute journey, I collected the letter, but hadn't had a response to my message, so paid, as it needed to be sent off. I asked the receptionist to chase a response for me. Whilst waiting, I had the letter returned by the people who had received it, stating that some information was missing. I then made a formal complaint and, after chasing a response again, I received a letter in the post, denying my request for a refund. Having laid out a very sensible argument why what they were saying was not reasomable and requested a reply via email, I received another letter, but from the GP, which felt very blunt. Whilst it said that they hold themselves accountable, this does not extend to actually making it right with the person it has affected. Whilst I am aware that the fee is both for their expertise and time, it appears that they do not value anyone else's time. It also appears that customer service or care is not high on their list of priorities, as it is clear that they'd rather this was escalated, rather than a compromise reached. Whilst this is representative of what I have experienced since being with them, it is disappointing nonetheless.
