Review titled Perscription
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Ryan - Posted on 16 December 2024
Requested a repeat perscription 2 weeks ago as I was close to running out - still no sign of it and I have now not taken my daily medication in over a week. Asked for an update today and still nothing so I’ve just been allowed to run out of medication for anxiety and depression which is extremely dangerous and the surgery don’t seem to care as the reception staff are incredibly rude and show no compassion or interest to help. Currently still waiting for my medication with anxiety attacks and daily headaches now happening and no sign of my medication. Awful awful service and will be looking to switch surgeries.

Review titled Administrative nightmare
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Marian Draisey - Posted on 14 October 2024
I arranged an urgent appointment on 2 Oct with Nhs111 and was told to go to the York house centre for 12 midday. I waited until 1.30, and then asked the receptionist who knew nothing about an appointment. Eventually they traced the appointment and I was seen. I could have sat there the whole day and no one would have called me. This is the second occasion this has happened despite me logging in on the computer when arriving. Today I had another urgent call for the same problem. The GP associate told me to collect my meds and at the same time leave a urine sample. She said it would be ready in half an hour. I came to surgery 2 hours later and was told the prescription wasn’t done and they had no idea when it would be ready. Bearing in mind I am in a lot of pain and distress with a bladder infection I was upset by this. What happened to gps writing a prescription and signing it straight away. Why wait until the end and do a batch together, it really is terrible working practice. This practice never seems to improve, only get worse and worse. The admin staff know nothing at all.

Review titled They will never attend you
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anthony - Posted on 10 December 2023
It is impossible to get an appointment. They do not offer online appointments booking. They refuse to give you appointments in person. They refuse to give appointments over the phone if the call is later than 10am. The only way to get an appointment is to call them 8.00 am every day for 2 weeks and only after 2 weeks they will think about giving you an appointment. Very often you will get emails from them telling you that they are short on staff and they will be closed for certain days. I am surprised they are still open. I am moving to a different GP that, at least, can give an appointment in the same call, or online.

Dear Anthony, Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback and we are very sorry to hear that our service has not met our patients expectations. We have been working hard over the last year to continue to improve our service with new clinicians being recruited opening up almost twice as many appointments than we had available in 2022. We also have the Extended Access clinic hosted at Woking Community Hospital that also provide additional appointments for the practice and would have hopefully been offered as an alternative by one of our reception team members during your appointment requests. However, this would depend on the type of appointment that you are trying to request. It would be extremely helpful for us if you were able to provide a bit more information about the issues you faced, what you were trying to book and the methods you were using to book these, as it would provide me with more information to be able to investigate this further. If you are interested in helping further and providing this information please submit an online form via our website addressed to the Deputy Practice Manager and I would be happy to discuss this further over the telephone to gauge some more information to help us improve our service. We are always looking for ways to improve our service and this feedback is invaluable for allowing us to do this. We also have changes coming in next year that will help to improve the efficiency of our booking system, so this may also help all of our patients in the future. Many thanks, Richard Morgan-Jones Deputy Practice Manager

Review titled Incomplete response
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Benjamin Shorter - Posted on 30 August 2023
A few weeks ago I met with my GP because I had a worrying lump appear under my knee out of nothing. The GP wasn't sure what it was but it was hard so he decided to send me for an X-Ray. 2 weeks passed since my X-Ray so I called up to find out what the verdict is and the answer was, the scan came back normal and nothing else. I didn't go to the GP complaining i wanted a normal X-Ray result, it was about a lump on my knee! Why is there no next step, another scan, some sort of follow up to address the issue I came to them with in the first place. I only got, well if you have another issue you can call up to make an appointment. It's not another issue, its the same issue and you haven't solved it yet. I shouldn't have to take more time off work for this to meet the GP again when he already knows the issue, ridiculous!

Dear Mr Shorter, Thank you for your feedback and I would like to apologise if you had not had the correct communication regarding this matter. I have tried contacting you via phone to discuss this and have talked to the clinician you saw initially regarding this case and believe we have a resolution for you. I will try to contact you again shortly, but if you have certain times you are more accessible do please contact our reception team or let me know via the feedback form on the website and I will contact you during this time. Kind regards, Richard Morgan-Jones Deputy Practice Manager

Review titled No service available at this surgery & long waite on phone
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Rachel - Posted on 19 July 2023
Getting through the surgery is impossible without a long wait every day. The longest I have been in queue for is 1hour and 20mins, but when the phone is finally answered, I get told to call back the next morning as appointments are not available to be booked. For the past month, I have been trying to book a routine appointment and it’s impossible. Why can’t I book appointments in the future like I used to be able to? Waiting for a new system, what kind of excuse is that you are putting patients' health at risk, been told with new system can only book in one day’s advance how will patience get the time off work to see a gp next day just seems this surgery don’t care about it’s patients at all, even urgent appointments are unavailable and they tell you to go walk in honestly avoid this surge don’t waste your time registering with them because at the end when you need to see a gp they won’t offer you any appointments no matter how desperate or ill you are. Duty of care is just not being met by Goldsworth worth medical practice.

Dear Rachel, Thank you very much for your feedback. I'm sorry you have been disappointed with the service we offer. If I had your full details I could look at our telephone system or website to see what occurred on the occasions you have tried to make an appointment. We regularly review our appointments system to ensure we are as accessible as possible to our patient population in a safe manner. We do not have infinite number of appointments, and therefore requests to see a doctor are triaged. We offer those with urgent needs appointments before those with more routine health complaints as you would probably expect. If we have no appointment at the surgery we will offer to book appointments which have been setup in the local vicinity where you will be able to be seen quicker and get the care needed. This enables us to balance the level of urgent and routine appointments and hence where we book these. Alternatively we will sign post you to NHS111 who are able to book appointments directly into our clinical system and if they felt that an appointment was required they could have booked him in also. We also introduced a form system on our website whereby you can message the practice, ask for an appointment, order medications, and find advice and so on. Many patients use this system to avoid waiting in the telephone queue. All messages are reviewed by our triage team and the most appropriate response/ appointment is then offered. The waiting period is also decided as for the same day, next day or routine or as appropriate. We are here to serve our patients and be as accessible as possible and are offering more appointments now than we were pre-Covid. If you would like to contact me via the practice website and give me more detail, I would be happy to investigate further. Kind regards Shalini Barnard Practice Manager
