Review titled Heart sank
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jo Hallawell - Posted on 07 October 2024
When we arrived at Mattock Lane for our covid and flu jabs my heart sank! There was a huge queue leading back from the door and snaking down the pavement. However the speed with which this queue moved was incredible! We were at once given coloured code access by age and practically straight away given a flu jab in the left arm and if you were due for a covid jab there was another nurse all ready on the right hand side. We then followed the exit signs (through the contraceptive clinic to my amusement!) and straight into the car park. Such good organisation. Very impressive.

I was at the factory line system for receiving flu jabs at the practice last Saturday. What a really great way to organise them! I was very impressed with the efficiency, kindness of the staff and the speed of the whole process. Well done Gordon House Surgery!

Review titled Efficient jab session
Rated 4 stars out of 5

My flu plus covid vaccination session was very well organized and friendly. My only quibble is that I made a 12.20 appointment so I could fit in morning commitments but the reminder that came the day before said the session finished at 12.00

Review titled Speedy and efficient

The only thing I thought was unnecessary was telling people to use Paracetamol of the injection arm was painful. I think there is probably a tendency to overuse painkillers when not really necessary and this can’t be good for our bodies.

Welcoming as ever. I have been coming for nearly 50 years! The young lady who gave me my injections was delightful, and put me completely at my ease. She told me she has been married for just one week - lucky man !
