    On submitting the form I was asked to say when I was unavailable. I stated I was not available the next day but was rung while I was at a funeral on that day.

    Had face to face appointment within 2 hours of my request. Only down side, surgery new my reason for the appointment but I was seen by someone unable to issue prescriptions so had to wait a further 2 hours for prescription. Fortunately the pharmacy delivered the item or I would have had to go out again.

    This was the first time I had used Patches. Apart from getting on line at 7.45 am, I had entered my details by 8.00 am and at 10.10 am I had an appointment at a surgery. The system worked for my circumstances.

    I got into the pachs system when it opened, submitted my request, and immediately received an electronic confirmation that it had been received. Within the next hour, I was telephoned by the triage team, and given an appointment, that same day. I saw the Nurse Practitioner at the practice, who conducted a very thorough physical examination, listened to what I had to say, and treated me with empathy, kindness and extreme professionalism. I felt safe and in good hands. I was not rushed, and felt listened to.

    Where do I begin? It's a mammoth task to get an appointment to see any doctor! Don't imagine building a relationship / trust with a doctor who knows you. You just have to be grateful to see one at all! After being unable to waste any more time on the phone trying to book an appointment (or waiting endlessly for a call back), I thought I'd try the Patchs online triage tool. At the end of it, I requested an email response but still had to give times I was available - which was tricky as I work and can't have my phone with me - hence suggesting email might work for me! When I got home that evening I found an answer message on my home phone saying as I'd missed the call back I'd need to repeat the process! I have several issues with this - I did not ask for a phone call as I would be unable to talk; I had not asked for my home phone to be used - what if I was afraid of someone else in my household finding out I'd contacted the doctor; I'd been contacted at a time I'd said I wasn't available and because I wasn't available I'd have to repeat the process all over again! It should not be this hard to get help! There's an assumption that we are all sat at home all day waiting for a call back or can drop everything if we are offered the Holy grail of a face to face appointment! Lots of us aren't! We aren't seriously ill. We work hard and time is limited and we are trying to fit our health care in around our other commitments! Please simplify this system! It's ridiculous!

    I tested positive for covid recently and as I had a letter from GPS healthcare saying I’m on the vulnerable list to contact them if I got covid for anti viral medication I tried to using patches which was quick and ess as y I asked for a call back received a message via patches to say I’m on the triage list waited all day no call but received a voice mail saying I’d missed a call tried the next day same thing happened third day I called and was on the phone for over 55 minutes before being connected explained my predicament they offered me an appointment if I could wear a mask explained I was exempt due to being asthmatic and I was struggling to breathe as it was so she said they would call back I explained that whenever they call it doesn’t ring and goes to voice mail so if they don’t get back to just call 111 . I called 111 my point being it was a waste of time and I’m getting fed up of it you either can’t get through , wait on the phone for long amounts of time and still get no joy

    My experience getting an appointment through patchs was excellent. Good communication and got an appointment the same day. Much better than phoning, less hassle and took less time. Would do again.
