  1. Review titled Poor

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 08 July 2024

I was sent text by the practice with a link to this site, specifically stating they were wanting feedback on the triage appointment system. Which seems a bit strange as they didn’t ask about my experience with the whole service, so suggest others bear in mind when reading reviews here that the practice may have sent links to patients asking about only one part of the system. Initially I tried to book via Patches but it said it was down. I then tried the surgery who told me there were no appointments left and to try the patches service. Which apparently was working again. I then received a phonecall asking me to attend the surgery in an hour. It was too short notice. I tried to find another time and they offered one 4 days later. In the meantime a lovely GP from the surgery phoned me the next evening to discuss an issue related to a prescription. She ended up sorting things out for me and I no longer needed the appointment 4 days later.

Polite, kind and attentive receptionist, phone calls received promptly and doctor's appointment the same day. The doctor was thorough, caring and clear about how I should proceed

However it's poor that this was not done or initiated my your selves following the blood test result. This needed to be followed up and wasn't. It's concerning

  5. Review titled What a palaver!!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

    by A mouse - Posted on 13 July 2024

Phoned at 8.00 requested call back. 8.30 spoke to a receptionist. Explained dialysis team suggested phone gp for antibiotics possible abscess which could go into blood stream. No appointments but if urgent phone back Monday or 111. Phoned 111 gave same details told gps would do a telephone appointment that afternoon. 10.00 the triage nurse phoned from gps could we get to meadowside by 10.45 to see a Dr. Brilliant service once you get passed the receptionist that do not know what is important or urgent medically. Perhaps the receptionists could liase with the triage nurses before saying no?

  8. Review titled Excellent practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The system worked very well giving me access to a timely face to face consultation. The consultation was excellent and led to a referral to A&E to exclude a potentially serious condition.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

I phoned gp 8am no appointments. I called 111 they couldn't contact gp either. Called gp again next day advised to use Patchs. Used patches next morning 7.45am informed closed until Monday. Called gp no appointments advised to call 111. Called 111 they were lucky enough to get a phone appointment for me. Received call from gp appointments now available at 10.15 that day.

  10. Review titled Mixed

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Anthony Twamley - Posted on 10 July 2024

Getting an appointment to see a GP is difficult, The 8pm Scramble by queue or telephone is tiresome. Patchs is still not available for appointments at Gps There are better systems available for booking on line, take a look at Golf booking systems, each day you can see and book slots that are available. 2.Necessary feedback on recent appointments , treatments and letters from Hospital is not happening. On the 27th June I was discharged from the QE Hospital for a cancelled Turp procedure(letter sent from the consultant to a gps doctor. I was issued with a 5 day supply of Cefalexin. I have not had any feedback on what anti-biotic I now should be taking, should I be taking Cefalexin or should I be taking my usual Trimethoprim, or maybe Naproxen On the 2nd July I had an appointment for a skin mole on my back and a bleeding hemorroid, photos sent using your link. To date I have not received s any results or feedback. I am told by friends in other Health Centers and surgery's that the Doctors have their own quality camera to produce the necessary photo clarity for examination. Makes sense to me. 5. Suggest you tell people not to press < Go back on this review to check or make changes, it removes all of your text. 6. I would have no problems in you adding my name to this review
