    On the 20th of December I contacted the practice for a call back from a doctor as I have a chest infection. I was told by the receptionist that I couldn't have a call back until the 28th of December which is totally unacceptable. I stated to the receptionist that I'm remission of cancer and have a low immunity. I then requested to speak to an manager and they was nothing but rude and unhelpful and went on to talk to me like I was stupid. I was told that I couldn't have a call back and that i had to go to minor injuries which would put me more at risk with the cold weather and other sick patients. when the receptionist finally took my number i received a text message from a doctor who didn't even have the courtesy to ring me. this is a total lack of care.

    Dear Mr Linden, thank you for your feedback, I am sorry that you feel disappointed in the service you received at the surgery and I would like to assure you that the GPs and staff strive to provide the best healthcare service possible. I note that the Reception Manager spoke to you as requested and offered you other alternative services you could use and also a GP advised you to visit the Urgent Treatment Centre on that day as we were at full capacity appointment wise.     I was referred for scans which were conducted on the 1st November, was told to ring the practice on the 8th November for results and next steps. I do so and get told nothings been done with them call back in a few days. I ring again on the 10th get told nothing has been done call back Monday. Which I do to be told still no one has looked at them they’ll book me in for a telephone consult in the morning with the doctor that referred me for today (17th November). Morning comes and goes, nothing, I call and get told oh yes you will be called by 5pm. Call back at 5 because still nothing, told that I would be called by close of business. I have just received a text to say I will not be called. This is embarrassing. The problems I have been having have seriously affected my standard of living, working and mental health. I need to know what is causing me this pain!!!

    GMC continues to not do very much. Laughable that when you consider pre-pandemic you could get a face-to-face appointment (remember those?) on the same day and now with e-Consult they grace you with a phone call two weeks later. My mother had a call with a GP today and requested she be referred back to a specialist. The GP admitted to not knowing very much about her condition. Several hours later GMC text to ask my mother to arrange an appointment with the clinic. I went through the online form only to be told there were no appointments to book. What is the point of this so-called service? We would love to move to another GP practice but none in our area are accepting new patients so we are stuck with GMC.
