I had a very disappointing experience with customer service. I called at 8am and was third in the queue. When it was my turn, the representative said hello and then disconnected the call. I called back and was first in line. The representative shouted, "can you hear me !?" as if the call hadn't just started. I confirmed that I could hear her, and when she asked which surgery I was calling about, I replied "Vauxhall." After providing my date of birth, she repeated it but then said “hellooo,” which confused me since she clearly heard me. I responded, but it seemed like she put the phone down to her side and ignored me as I could still hear background conversations. I eventually hung up and tried to call back seven times, but each time, the call was disconnected. What has happened to Vauxhall surgery the customer service has really gone down hill in the last year.

terrible service, it took 10 days from them to get feedback to me, its very bad. I completed registration form and didnt received any feedback from them. then I called them and they didnt help me, just told me to send an email to them. I sent an email and didnt get any feedback for about 3days. Then I sent repeatly and they answered that they didnt received registration form despite their website confirmed 10 days ago that I fully completed registration form, terrible service. and on their website you can see official announcement that registration will takes 48 hours! It took for me 10 days to get only feedback from them. such people shouldnt work in nhs, because I urgently need treatment according to my health status but this surgery just made my health lost more...

After an appointment I was referred for was cancelled without any explanation, I called the GP to understand why and to ask them to rebook it as it was them who referred me. They told me to email back and that they would do what they could. I did as I was told and absolutely nothing was done to help me rebook the appointment, they also didn't send me my referral letter so I could not try and get the appointment rebooked myself and the number they told me to call had no operator. Honestly, as an incredibly anxious person, the assistance here was incredibly unhelpful and I still have yet to have received a response about them sharing the referral letter with me.

When one fills out a form with you! To register for vauxhall surgery, there is a space where they ask if you need a translator! I'm always supposed to need a translator! They make me look bad for not knowing English, they treat me in a derogatory way, and they take me out of appointments for not knowing English! How terrible, after that the reception is despotic and rude, as if they were royalty they lack so much humility

Since my GP retired, every time I need an appointment, I get to see or talk to a different doctor. Not very good in terms of patient care as there's no continuity. I feel that the service at the surgery has changed and not for the better. I've decided to register with another surgery which is closer to me than this one.

Back in November I contacted the surgery requesting my medical records. I was advised to email their admin NHS email address, weeks went by, with no response. So I called and spoke to a very abrupt lady, who has no form of customer service and told me I should never have emailed- despite another member of reception advising me to do so weeks before? She told me that the address was only for NHS purposes and that my email would have bounced- it didn’t. And when I told her it didn’t bounce, her mannerisms worsened. For context I’m an adult who uses emails on a regular basis for work- so more than capable. I have never complained about the NHS before, but how I was spoken to was completely uncalled for, rude and lacked any form of compassion. I was simply trying to retrieve my own medical records- which quite frankly shouldn’t be as challenging as it was. I did eventually manage to receive my own medical records, I received my records from the email address provided when I initially called the reception. It’s a real shame that one member of the reception team is so rude and unhelpful.
