    Everytime I call to make an appointment at 8pm on the dot. I’m 10th in queue, 8:45am I’m still on hold to be told there’s no appointments. I don’t understand for a large practice like greatbridge why there isn’t enough staff to answer the phone, I’m now without repeat medication as I can’t get an appointment I’ve tried for 3 days straight

    Hello, thankyou for your message, we are sorry that you had issues when trying to make an appointment, we do ensure we have enough staff across the sites to answer phones first thing, however, we do appreciate that some days the demand on the service can far outweigh the capacity we have. we would not offer an appointment with a GP for a repeat prescription as repeat prescriptions can be requested by either emailing the practice on its dedicated repeat request email account, or by speaking with the pharmacy you use on a regular basis and they will order for you. Again we are sorry that the process did not work as you would have wished but if you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the practice and ask to speak to myself and I would be more than happy to have a conversation with you about any of he issues you have raised.     Where do I start, firstly for years now we have had problems with this practice fir not sending over repeat prescriptions to the pharmacy. Secondly they have no compassion towards patients as I’m not the only person in the great bridge area who calls this practice useless. They never answer the phone when you have sat for over half an hour waiting for them to pick up the phone, once you get to caller 2 they put the phone down with no explanation. The stress they have caused over the years Is unreal. I have been without my medication for over 7 days now and they have still not issued it over to my pharmacy. My advice to anyone who’s looking for a new gp to not bother they are a complete joke

Firstly we would like to sincerely apologise that you have not received the service you would expect from us, I would very much like to have a conversation with you in relation to the issues you have raised. Our team do the very best to answer all calls as quickly as possible and I'm sorry you feel you may have been cut off and I am happy to look into this if I can have a conversation with you and get specific dates / times that you have called as we can run detailed reports on the phone system. In regards to your concern re repeat medications again I would again need to know a little more in order to answer your query fully. Again we are truly sorry that you have had a negative experience, we do have a lot of patients who are truly happy with the service we provide.
