    In the past 2 weeks I have requested an appointment with a Headcorn doctor 3 times. I was eventually sent to Linton which I informed them was not feasible for me to travel to. Eventually was so unwell that I had no choice but to travel 1hr20 mins each way to go there. Was diagnosed with a severe infection which could have been prevented if I had been treated in any of the previous times that I requested treatment at Headcorn.

    GP's have an obligation to perform regular checks on patients with long term conditions requiring medications. I received a text and an email from "Greensand" requesting I perform the check myself and email the results. This allows Greensand to tick the box that they have performed the check and they can continue to collect the fees they receive for me as a patient on their books. They can also continue to prescribe my medications without actually reviewing the situation or considering what may have changed (weight, lifestyle, age, other health conditions and risks?) - absolutely not appropriate for a higher risk patient requiring ongoing treatment and condition management!
