  1. Review titled Disappointed with GP Experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Gail - Posted on 12 July 2024

This was my first visit to surgery, since moving home, and I am not happy! I was waiting over 30 minutes for app (expected throughout all surgeries), when called by GP he disappeared, I had no idea where I was going, or where the consulting room was, I was left shouting help down the corridor, a nurse came out to help me and the GP shouted "im in here!" (not a good start) he never introduced himself to me, or apologised, and not once did he give me eye contact, he had his back to me all the time I was in the room, the chair I was seated in was behind him, and I had difficulty knowing and understanding what he was saying due to him talking with his back to me. I had further things to discuss, and his reply was to say "we are done here now, make another appointment at reception" I was astounded by his utter rudeness throughout my "so called consultation", and I am certainly in no hurry to return, I am considering moving GP surgery. I could not face going back there again just to receive the same reception.

  2. Review titled An exceptional practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Mrs C Hudson - Posted on 14 February 2023

While on holiday in Grimston I awoke one morning feeling very congested. We thought that I may have to ask a pharmacist for a professional opinion, but my husband found the telephone number for the Grimston Medical Centre in our holiday home. He 'phoned, and was told that I should register as a "Temporary Resident". The form was collected, completed and returned at approximately 9.40 a.m. To my surprise I received a telephone call at 10.10 a.m. and after discussing my symptoms I was asked to attend the centre for a face to face appointment at 10.30 a.m. I duly attended, was seen by the doctor (I am sorry I did not make a note of her name but it was room 6), and I was told that a prescription would be issued. I waited in the reception area, and a few minutes later the the antibiotics were delivered to me. This is truly exceptional service - the NHS we all want! From the staff manning the reception desk, to the GP and the pharmacist I received a very professional but friendly service; you saved my holiday. Thank you all so much - if there was an NHS award I would nominate you!

  4. Review titled Outstanding GP Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The care and support I receive has been consistently outstanding in the 5 years I have been a patient. When required I have always been able to speak to and see a GP (including during the Pandemic) where all have been thorough and shown fantastic care and understanding. The same of practice nurses, receptionists and dispensary staff. I feel incredible fortunate to be a patient at this practice.
