Review titled Poor service
Rated 1 star out of 5
by David - Posted on 15 November 2024
I have been with this practice for 12 years. At first it was very good with GP's that cared and listened to your issues . But some of these good doctors retired and left a d it wasn't as good but it was OK. Then we had COVID and since then the practice has become almost impossible to get an appointment. It's now that bad that I used to dread trying to make an appointment as I would know that the outcome would not be good. So I recently found out that I could register with another local surgery and the place was like a breath of fresh air. I can actually make appointments on the phone, in person or online. There are 2 people on reception, not hiding g around the back office, to greet you with no security screen. It feels a very welcoming and friendly place. GMC is closer to where I live but I'd rather have the extra walk knowing I'll get seen without any worry.

Review titled Amazing teamwork best surgery ever.

Been seen a new dr now for many months. I struggle with very poor mental health. With many challenging issues. This dr has took the time to get to know me as an individual. He’s very kind caring compassionate and can show through empathy. I always feel heard. I am giving as much time as needed. I’d like to say thank you to this dr for his dedication to his role as a dr. All receptionists work extremely hard and are all very kind. They keep the surgery running smoothly. All nurses also very lovely. The whole surgery work as a team. Amazing people .huge thank you to everyone. Josie.

Review titled Outstanding practice
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Josie - Posted on 21 August 2024
Had appointment with my new registered GP. After my GP retired I struggled to go to the surgery. I find change difficult this new GP has worked very hard to help me adjust to this change. He’s very similar in the way he works to previous GP.he’s certainly put lots of effort into getting to know me as an individual. And how my server anxiety affects my daily life. I feel listened to and valued. This GP gives me time which I know is very valuable to him. He’s very kind caring and compassionate. The surgery as a whole is very caring from receptionists to nurses and all other staff. It’s all round good team work. Well done everyone

Had appointment with my registered GP. I was giving plenty of time to discuss any concerns I had. This GP has taken over my care as my GP retired. I am now feeling at ease with the new dr.I struggle with any sort of change and this gp has helped me adjust to this, He’s very kind caring and compassionate. I am starting to trust and feeling reassured by this dr. He gives great advice and also helps me feel more in control of decisions on my health. It’s a great practice. All receptionists work tirelessly hard keeping it running smoothly. Big thank you to all at this amazing surgery ,

Review titled Not the care I’ve been accustomed to in 25+ years
Rated 5 stars out of 5

Called asked receptionist if on call dr could call me. Explained how unwell I’d been and still was. And how I’d needed the emergency services few nights prior to this call. Receptionist was very kind listened carefully and explained all would be passed on to the dr on-call. Sometime later receptionist called to say the dr advised I went to A and E .this was impossible I was unable to stay out of bed more than 5 minutes . Receptionist had done all that could be done. Unfortunately whomever the on call dr was didn’t even take time to call me themselves. I was left in a state of not knowing whom to turn to . I continued struggling at home unable to care for myself. Two days later still very poorly but now able to keep sips of water down.I called again gave this information which again I felt totally heard from the receptionist. There on call dr called me I wasn’t giving time to explain everything that had happened 6 days prior to this call. Just asked if I was drinking then told things take time. I felt totally unheard .this must be my first ever negative review of my care from this surgery. I feel saddened as I write this review. But I do feel honest reviews are an important part of helping the surgery deliver good patient care.

Review titled Top surgery

Saw my GP whom is new to me but now I feel i’am getting to know him.I struggle with any type of change be it good or bad. So when my regular GP retired I was extremely concerned on having to see a dr I just didn’t know due to my enduring poor mental health and health anxiety where reassuring is mostly best for me. This GP is proving to be very conscientious towards his role and care to his patients. I am starting to feel more trust with him as time goes on. I came away today feeling positive in how the consultation had gone. This dr is kind caring and friendly. I’d highly recommend this surgery

I’d like to thank the GP who saw me at short notice and picked up on my liver abnormality, took his time to check all my symptoms and referred to the hospital at the right time when A&E dismissed me with reflux

Called to make an appointment with my regular dr. Receptionist was so lovey. The appointment was booked. But then I started saying how I was missing my previous registered dr that had retired. I was giving so much time to chat receptionist was very caring and listened. I’d obviously taking her valuable time. But this didn’t matter she just want to help.

Having a new GP since my registered gp retired. Has been a difficult time and a challenge for me. I suffer enduring poor mental health and change is extremely difficult. Iv been seeing my new registered Gp now for about 3 months. I am finding the transition easier than I thought. This dr works very much the same as my previous one. I find this dr very easy to talk to. I feel heard. He is doing his best to get to know me so he can better understand how best to care for me. In a way that’s best for me. I find him to be friendly caring and understanding . He dose his best to help me feel at ease.I think this dr is a great assist to our very popular surgery.

Reception staff so lovely.hard working.always so friendly. And keep the smooth running of our surgery. Having to see a new GP since my regular one retired.I find going very difficult . But the new GP is trying very hard to help me feel at ease. I find this new GP kind caring and doing his best to get to understand how my mental health impacts everything I do.
