Had x ray July 24th,been trying last 2 weeks get results.Told my GP on holiday(obviously my fault)Phoned x ray department at DGH,told sent July 31st. Still in agony and can not get any information!!what is going on???? Can not put up with pain,had since end April...not good enough!holiday lucky doctor, does not help me

I understand your concerns and agree that there is room to improve the process in the absence of your named GP, with regards to reviewing any test results in a more timely manner. I have been unable to see a doctor here, as the NHS app proves since 2019. I try early mornings to get an appointment and there never is one. I have had to use pharmacies, A and E, walk in surgeries and other places to get my care. I am now officially making a complaint from being excluded from appointments for 5 years and more as before that I couldn't get one. No communication and turned away numerous times, despite phoning when told.

Reception staff have no idea how to triage or deal with issues. Still waiting a call back from the practice manager as requested, 2 days later. You’re just told ‘no’ to requests without any other advice or options given.

I have had an ongoing painful condition for the past year. Early on I had a scan, but since then it has been impossible to speak to my GP. Today I called and was told that they are only seeing people for clinical emergencies - and then without even checking whether or not my case was an emergency, they put the phone down on me without a word of explanation. I could have been having a heart attack for all that the receptionist cared. I know that things are incredibly tough for GP practices at the moment, but the staff at Grove Road seem to have completely lost sight of why they are even there.

I cannot speak highly enough of he whole team at Grove Road , from the Reception staff, nurses, paramedic practitioner to the GPs, all are first class. My recent experience with one of the locum doctors was so impressive. I phoned in the morning and was offered an appointment that afternoon. The doctor was very patient, extremely thorough, kind and understanding of my concerns. The treatment prescribed was successful and the doctor even took the trouble to phone me a week later to enquire as to my progress. Over the 18 years I have been a patient at the surgery I have never had anything but praise for everyone I have come into contact with. Without exception they are approachable and friendly while always being professional.
