    My wife has been trying since Tuesday to see a doctor about a very painful knee which is also limiting her mobility to the extent that a planned holiday has had to be cancelled. In desperation, after telephone calls merely resulted in her being being sent links to a booking system which continually say no appointments available, I took her round to The Oaks surgery this morning to enable her to make the appointment with reception face to face. She was asked to wait in the waiting room whilst the duty receptionist accessed the booking system online. After about 15 mins she enquired at reception what was happening only to be asked again why she was there. It seems she had been forgotten about. No attempt was made to find an appointment for her but instead she was asked to fill in a form setting out her need. This could have been done at the outset of the visit and is not an acceptable level of service. The Practice Manager needs to remedy the level of service being provided. (Review left Friday morning)

    I was told by my GP I needed a follow-up appointment for a medication review for an ongoing issue, that has been unresolved since June. This medication was a one-off prescription, so need an appointment to know what the care plan is. I phone to book this appointment, and found I had to wait *6 weeks* to see my regular GP. This is 3 weeks after my 1-month course of medication runs out, leaving me without care for 3 weeks. I have had ongoing issues trying to book appointments for healthcare issues since registering with this surgery - with my shortest wait time to see my assigned GP being 3 weeks. I have also had issues with their urgent care team, being short and unkind with me, despite me being kind and patient with them. My regular GP is wonderful, but the rest of my experience with this surgery has been more than just sub-par.
