I emailed to request either an appointment with the doctor or nurse, as I had been feeling 'under the weather ' for a few months. I heard back from the surgery within 3 hours offering me an appointment with a doctor the following week. I was happy with this as I tested positive for Covid shortly after this. I saw a doctor who was extremely empathetic to my health issue. She referred me for a chest x-ray & asked me to make an appointment with the nurse for blood tests & an ECG. This initial appointment was on a Friday. On leaving the surgery I made an appointment with the nurse for the following Wednesday. When I arrived home, i received a phone call from the hospital offering me a chest x-ray appointment on Monday. I attended the hospital & then on the Wednesday attended the surgery for my appointment with the nurse. 2 hours later I received a call from the surgery asking me to attend the next morning for the results of my ECG. I saw a different doctor who explained why I had been asked to attend - some blood test results had been received but the major issue was my ECG result, which was abnormal. It was a shock but at the same time, a relief, as I thought I was imaging my symptoms! I'm now taking blood thinners & beta blockers, plus statins as my cholesterol was raised. I cannot praise the doctors, nurses & not forgetting the reception staff enough! Many thanks indeed

Doctors, nurses and staff lovely, over 1.5hr wait times to get through to phone lines, rude prescription team, poor communication, putting you on hold for hrs, resulting in driving to surgery to find out its closed. 11th in the que for 1hr. lack of staff, medicine review took 4 months.

Dear Patient I am genuinely sorry to hear of the struggles you experienced whilst trying to access our services. We have since recruited more patient services coordinators and are in the process of changing our telephone system to make the process more user friendly and cut the waiting times at busy periods during the day. This morning the NHS app would not allow me to reorder my regular prescription. On enquiry at the surgery I was told that I needed a medication review. Should patients not be informed of this requirement in advance, rather than discovering that they cannot order their medicines and being obliged to enquire?

It is an enormous comfort to me that my compassionate doctor sees me face to face on a regular basis. My health and well being improves every time I see my doctor . There is a calming feeling at the practice. I am blessed to have such an excellent doctor. Many thanks.
