  1. Review titled Asthma Review and Medicine Review

Rated 4 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 06 July 2024

The Lead Clinical Pharmacist was very friendly and welcoming and was fully aware of why I was present. She had a professional attitude while also being personable. After the review I felt confident that everything was done correctly and that my medical prescriptions were up to date. She also suggested a GP appointment related to an online medicine I was taken which put my mind at ease.

  2. Review titled Smear test and great nurse

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 26 June 2024

I had a smear test with the nurse. She used the small device, was well trained and it was not as painful as I thought. She was lovely, friendly and asked me breathe deeply throughout the whole smear test- good distraction technique that worked well. I recommend having the smear test with the nurse; she knows how to make it as painless as possible.

  4. Review titled Screening test - Excellent professional

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Maria Agustina - Posted on 20 May 2024

I attended the practice for my regular screening test and had a great experience with my nurse. The process went smoothly. She explained all the details clearly and was both professional and kind. I felt that she genuinely cared not just for me, but for our community. She encouraged me to recommend to my friends to attend the NHS screening calls. When I mentioned that my first experience with the test three years ago was negative, she did not criticize the other professional. Instead, she focused on her strategy to ensure my comfort, saying, "I do things this way; we will take our time and make sure this goes well." Outstanding service.

  5. Review titled Good clinical staff, poor patient experience

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 March 2024

This practice at Charing Cross hospital frequently seems to move, with rather unhelpful signage pointing you to where you need to go. At present they appear to be in a cupboard at the back of the hospital behind the lifts. The waiting area is gloomy and dated, with a mix of old and new chairs recycled from other areas of the NHS. Booking appointments is a chore; you either have to telephone and hope you get through or attend in person, online booking seems to be disabled despite it previously being an option. For those of us who do not or cannot use a telephone for voice calls this presents a challenge. Good luck getting a same day appointment for an urgent matter, I recently had to present at A&E around the corner for medication as I couldn't get an appointment on the same day. The receptionists seem disinterested in their work, and bordering on obstructive/short at times depending on who you get - something that frankly needs to change (also like to complain about their colleagues on the telephone in front of patients). The current location meant while I was waiting I could hear a consultation for another patient through the door, an issue for privacy. The nurses and doctors I have encountered here though have been nothing but friendly and helpful, and cannot be praised enough. They don't try and rush patients out the door and do listen to them. Pros: Friendly clinical staff Cons: Disinterested/dispondent receptionists - some of these in the past have been quite nosy about why I want an appointment. Gloomy/dark surroundings and a general feeling of dilapidation in the surgery at Charing Cross. Poor sound control. I would not recommend this practice for any new registrations for this reason, and when I am able I will be changing to another just because it's a pain in the rear to get any appointments booked.

  6. Review titled Excellent Clinical Pharmacist

Rated 5 stars out of 5

The clinical Pharmacist sd is a truly exceptional pharmacist. She is not only knowledgeable, kind and caring, she is also goes above and beyond, ensuring the best care for her patients. Today she reviewed my conditions and my medications in details and she extensively explained my medications that no one else did for me before! I am truly grateful for her outstanding service and support! Thank you very much!

  7. Review titled Awful admin and GP service

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Roman - Posted on 11 July 2023

I have been patient with this surgery for over a year now. All this time I only had awful experiences. Rude and unprofessional reception team. No appointments were ever available - the earliest appointment I got was in 3 weeks from when I called (at 08:20 in the morning). Reception team practically refuses to provide face-to-face and appointments and only booked telephone appointments. However, every telephone appointment was never when booked, i.e. GP would call 15-30 minutes before or 2 hours after and if you do not pick up when they can (again not at the supposed time of the appointment) you have to reschedule the appointment (which is always at least 3 weeks in the future the closest)

  9. Review titled Amazing service

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Niamh - Posted on 17 May 2023

Once again blown away by the care given. I called in on the off chance that they had a same day appointment for a very minor problem. I got a call back for a telephone consultation a few hours later saying that I could come straight in. I was only in the building for about 15 minutes total, and I left with a diagnosis and a prescription! The doctor even noticed that there was a pharmacy closer to my house, and saved me a walk. Every time I have needed treatment it has been just as great!

  10. Review titled Rude Receptionist

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 February 2023

Rang up the GP to ask for an appointment, but was unsure of whether I needed an in-person appointment or to book a call with the GP. After explaining why I needed to see the GP to the receptionist, she was incredibly curt, rude, and unhelpful answering my queries. Her unhelpful and rude demeanor does not make me want to keep this GP on as my GP.
