&Asked for appointment for chest infection, was offered appointment with Doctor the same day. Infection confirmed & was given prescription for anti biotics. Doctor was so kind & gave me helpful advice on diet issues also. This part of NHS is certainly not broken.

The new triage system works very well. I have had two occasions when I need a doctor and the first time I was called back within two hours and given an afternoon appointment. The second time was this week. After leaving my message I was called back within a few hours by a doctor for a telephone consultation. I was given a prescription at a local Chemist who delivered my medication the next morning. The doctor was very caring and understanding and did not rush the consultation.

Review titled Excellent Service

In these times when its easy to complain about GP services, I had a brilliant experience recently. Telephone appointment in the morning, physical appointment at lunchtime and ECG in the afternoon. The Doctor has even sent me a text to remind about getting a blood test done. Can't fault it

I requested my repeat prescription over 2 weeks ago and the surgery have not sent through to my confirmed pharmacy which has left me with no medication over a long bank holiday weekend. This medication is life or death, my condition is lifelong so don’t understand why this is such an issue for the surgery

Review titled They can’t deal with skin infections!
Rated 1 star out of 5

Having had a skin infection for 5 weeks I contacted the surgery 1st Dec 2023 and to be seen quicker I was advised to take a Hub appointment else where. The Dr advised it was bacterial and prescribed antibiotics. They did not work and the following week was referred to another Hub appointment which the Dr cancelled on day of appointment. Went back to surgery and they could not see me so they prescribed different antibiotic. Meanwhile the infection was very sore and spread so I went to private Dr. He concluded it was not bacterial and more likely viral. He prescribed antiviral drugs but they did not work. Went back to surgery and they advised taking swab. What I did not know was the swab was only for bacteria inspection and of course it came back negative. So here on 29th December they can only give me a phone appointment on 10th January and probably not with a Dr. Quite simply it is just going to go round in circles again so now have to go back to private Dr who was probably right it is viral and hope that Dr may have other solution. Having sent 3 on line forms and pictures to surgery since 4th Dec not one Dr can see me and have to resort to private Dr for help costing £99 each time. It will be £198 by time I finish with this. While I am sure this surgery is competent with very serious cases it has clearly lost it way dealing with general inflamed skin infection problems.
