Review titled Excellent service
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 06 August 2024
As a new patient I wanted to share my recent positive experience. I needed an appointment that was not an emergency so I was advised to book through the Anima service online. This was extremely easy and I was contacted by the surgery the same day for a future appointment and I was seen a few days later. Ordering repeat prescriptions is a breeze as it is always there waiting for me when I get to the pharmacy at the surgery with very little waiting time. The staff at the surgery are very friendly and are always very helpful.

I I waited in a queue at number 20 and within 10 minutes was given an appointment to see a nurse practitioner. Advice and prescription was given with advice to return if necessary.Within a week I was seen by a doctor who issued another prescription and ordered blood tests. The receptionists that arranged these appointments were very friendly and professional. It is good to see the photos of the staff

Review titled Repeated mistakes on prescriptions.
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 03 November 2023
I have had several mistakes made on both prescriptions and repeat prescriptions over the last year. As an asthmatic I have to attend an annual clinic which is absolutely fine, but the method of informing me was changed from a written note to a text message without telling me so I missed it and my repeat prescription was cancelled. An appointment was made and it was reinstated. Annoying but it was ok. I had another text message last week saying my review was overdue and that I needed to make an appointment. I phoned to say I’d already had it, they agreed and told me to ignore it, they also said my repeat prescription would not be cancelled. I went in today to collect my medication…….. to find my repeat prescription had been cancelled. Also since one of my inhalers has been taken off of repeat I have to write it on the bottom of my repeat slip when it’s needed, this has been missed on several occasions.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback regarding your recent experiences with our practice. We sincerely apologise for the mistakes made on your prescriptions and repeat prescriptions over the past year, as well as the confusion caused by changes in communication methods. Our feedback from patients has been that they prefer to receive communication via text message which is why we have changed to this method. We understand the importance of timely and accurate communication, especially for individuals managing conditions such as asthma. We deeply regret any inconvenience caused by the transition from written notes to text messages for appointment reminders without proper notification. Regarding the recent incident where you received a text message stating your review was overdue despite having already attended the appointment, we apologise for the oversight and any resulting confusion. We're truly sorry that despite our assurance over the phone, your repeat prescription was still cancelled. This inconsistency falls short of the standard of care we aim to provide. Please know that we take your feedback seriously and are actively reviewing our processes to prevent such occurrences in the future. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to improve our services. If you have any further concerns or would like to discuss your experiences in more detail, please don't hesitate to contact us directly. Your satisfaction and well-being are our top priorities, and we are committed to addressing your concerns promptly. Thank you once again for bringing these matters to our attention.

Review titled Outstanding medical care
Rated 5 stars out of 5
by Jackie Moore - Posted on 09 June 2023
I am not actually registered at this surgery, as I live in Bedfordshire but my parents are. My Dad has leg ulcers on both legs which need dressing in compression bandaging 3 times a week. The nurses are so caring about his physical health and also his overall well-being, given the treatment he undergoes. They go out of their way to attend to his needs. He never feels rushed and they always listen to his concerns. We are all very grateful that they joined this practice when they moved to Rushden 6 months ago. The ulcers have improved considerably as a result of the consistently high standard of care. Thank you Harborough Field.

Good surgery with friendly staff. Yes can be difficult getting an appointment but that's the same in every surgery nationwide. Recently saw nurse for spirometry and she was extremely patient and so caring and friendly!
