  1. Review titled Friendly practice. With a forward looking approach.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

Friendly practice with staff that will go out of the way to help. Gp's are helpful, and try to sort your issues, with Physio, Mental Health, Blood Scientist, Paramedics, Care Coordinator and Clinical Pharmacist at there disposal. With new building in the process, patients will have a better opportunity to get the help we deserve, all under one roof.

  2. Review titled Nothing is too much trouble

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I moved to Chancery Lane earlier this year from another local surgery which I had a bad experience with, I was very ill at the time but the Drs, Nurses and Reception Staff here are always really friendly and helpful and never make you feel as though you are too much trouble. I have personally never had too much of an issue getting through on the phone and have always been able to get an appointment when I needed one.

  3. Review titled Very Poor Service

Rated 2 stars out of 5

We have a newborn (now 6 months old) who has never seen his GP, despite having an awful cough and chest. The Doctors at this surgery refuse to have face to face appointments - how can you safely diagnose a 6 month old over the phone at that vulnerable stage in their life? Only a matter of time until something unthinkable happens. Not to mention myself - I had a private Doctor telephone appointment via a work insurance policy I have (literally within 5 mins of requesting one), they advised based on photos of my mouth condition that I need an urgent face to face appointment this week as it could be something very serious. So I phone the surgery, the GP will not see me face to face, however asks for photos. Promises to get back to me in 2 days (!) however fails to do so. Phone call back to surgery who advise they will chase up GP - 1 day later still nothing. Our 3 year old also has a terrible chest and GP wont see. Only option to ring 111 or turn up at a&e.

Dear Liam We were sorry to read this review with few details for us to work on. There are other NHS services providing care to patients like NHS 111, Out of hours and the pharmacy; these services have been available to patients for some time. Appointments are indeed offered to suit the clinicians availability and working hours, along with a further offer of an extended access and asking for photographs which all surgeries request. We do try and triage all our requests for appointments making urgent same day appointments along side more routine pre bookable appointments, but we do not offer an exhaustive see everyone same day, as this would be an unsafe service? We always offer face to face appointments and this is documented within the patients medical record. Any appointments are made for a 10 minute slot, but due to the complications of some patients and the urgent issues that sometimes arise, our doctors can sometimes run slightly late, and most patients appreciate that they would be offered the same service if this situation were to happen to them. If we were to increase our appointment time to prevent this, our patients would find that there are fewer appointment on offer to our patients, so one to consider before complaining. Please feel free to consider joining our patient participation group, if you feel you wanted to be more involved in suggestions that could help us improve? Thank you Chancery Lane Surgery
