Review titled Horrible
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Andrew - Posted on 10 October 2024
My recent visit to warrior square surgery was awful . The doctor I saw was almost toxic in her approach to me. Didn’t bother to read my records, wasn’t interested in what I had to say only what she had to say. Self opinionated, rude , sarcastic , arrogant in her attitude from the start of my time with her. I’m a senior citizen and to be talked down to by an egotistical younger person is belittling to say the least. No genuine empathy or consideration for me as a person. All the good doctors are gone and we are left with bad examples of doctors. The doctor I saw would be better suited to a fast food takeaway chain. The appointment system is rubbish the reception staff are untruthful. The concern at this surgery is not about the patients but how the staff and doctors feel. I shall do my best to never attend this surgery again or see the doctor I saw. Doctors these days only have one thing on their mind and that is how much they earn. Patient appointment are hurried leaving one unable to convey how they feel regarding their medical problem.

I have been with Warrior Sq for 4 years . Very hard to get seen for an appointment . Hard to get a response when you complain . Terrible all round . So many specific things I could complain about that I could write a thesis .

The service from this surgery has gone downhill since just before covid. Issues you highlight are never resolved. The triage system is absurd. You can't get an appointment for non emergency reasons unless you battle on the phones at 8am with all the emergency requests. Which then results in waiting for 45 minutes to an hour on hold to find out there is nothing left. Triage often closes before 9am because they have had too many requests. They can't cope with the number of patients they have. Their ability to monitor at risk patients is laughable and will likely lead to serious harm. Any good staff they had have left due to management issues. If I could register elsewhere I would. There are a couple of good members of staff left but you rarely get to deal with them and just get awful unhelpful people. Having seen how good it is at a different surgery that is a couple of miles from St Leonards it amazes me how bad this one is and really highlights its failings. On this specific occasion I have been left waiting in an empty waiting room for half an hour past my appointment time yet there were no other patients being seen.

Review titled Well done and thank you
Rated 5 stars out of 5

My wife and I both needed help from the surgery today, my wife to obtain urgent antibiotics to complete a course from the hospital and myself to arrange a follow up appointment as recommended when I saw the GP a few weeks ago. I rang at 8.01, was 16th in the queue but that worked through quickly, the receptionist took relevant details and passed them on to triage. I received a text within an hour saying a prescription had been sent for my wife to our designated pharmacy and she has just recommenced the course of treatment necessary. We received a phone call confirming a face to face appointment for me in two days. I was a surgeon in town for over 30 years so know how encouraging it is to receive thanks from time to time. We read so much bad press about general practice at present so I felt it important to offer my thanks for the prompt and efficient service we have received on this occasion.
