    The new patient triage service was completed around 7:30 am, and I was offered a same-day appointment. The clinic has two locations, which provides ample availability. I was pleased with the efficiency of the process and received a confirmation message for my appointment within an hour via sms. The online platform allowed me to continue with my day until the confirmation arrived. Overall, I rate the service as excellent.

    The GP appointment booking system is a joke, no appointments available ahead the day you try to book. Reception staff who are unhelpful. An appointment system that will lead to more illness and death. Patients deterred from getting appointment purely by the difficulty of getting one! God help OAP's.

    Thank you for your feedback, our new patient triage system has received very positive feedback overall. We are currently trialing same day routine and urgent appointments using the patient triage system. Most surgeries nationwide will be adopting this system going forward. This gives patients more accessibility and continuity of care. Our booking platform before was deemed unsafe practice for both patient and clinicians. On an individual basis if you are struggling to complete the patient triage form, please feel free to ring the surgery, where our reception team will assist in making you a same day appointment.     I had to go in for a blood test. I’m not a fan of anything medical so was pretty stressed going in. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better nurse. She was friendly, understanding and made the whole experience completely stress free, I left the surgery wondering why I was so worried in the first place.

    I have had multiple recent contacts with the surgery and each time the staff have been very professional and efficient in getting me the help I need. In a health system that is stretched you can tell the staff really value their job and are willing to go above and beyond. The new triage form system is really helpful as I don’t have to wait on the phones, can complete the form early in the morning and get a response within a couple of hours with medical advice or an appointment. The negative feedback from other patients is not a reflection on the opinion from the majority of us - you’re doing a great job thank you!

    Unfortunately I totally disagree with the practice reply. Three times I’ve tried the online triage. Each time nothing available. Spoke to reception, said I had to log and apply at 7.0am…….. great if you’re not already travelling to work. Not sure about the feed back they’ve had saying patients were happy with the new service. I refer to google reviews as well btw. Unfortunately an already broken system made worse!

    Further to my previous review, I used the triage system for the first time this morning. It was so smooth and efficient. I submitted the form at 7:30am, and received a text 10 minutes later giving me a face to face appointment at 9:45 this morning. I am super impressed at how easy it was. Anyone that is wary of using it, like I was, don't be. It's great. I was impressed with the service when I arrived too.

    I was confused about the triage system, so I left feedback. The practice contacted me right away and reassured me. I now understand why they had to introduce this system. I had no idea there are so many missed appointments. People should be valuing the NHS, not taking it for granted. I am embracing the new system and I encourage others to do so. It seems to be the only way forward unfortunately.

    I rang the practice on behalf of my daughter as she was upset. I waited an hour to be handed over to a rather officious women who called me agressive. It was actually her who was being short with me. It was a ver unpleasant experience & has made me want to change surgeries as it has happened before. I think it may have been the same person. It’s not called for when you are phoning for help.

    This practice has recently closed its car park completely to all patients, including disabled. It appears that the convenience of staff (who now use the car park) trumps patients who cannot.

    Thank you for leaving feedback regarding the parking at Oldfield Surgery. Unfortunately the parking situation around Oldfield Park is out of the Surgeries hands, this is a council decision. We have had to use our car park for staff use, otherwise we would have no staff to man the Surgery, as most staff live outside of Bath. There is parking behind the surgery by the school which is for two hours and not permit restricted. Disable patients which have a blue badge are not restricted where they park on the road.     Stood behind a patient that was very rude to receptionist at the time of my visit . The receptionist done a great job of remaining professional. The Surgery covers a large area and is always busy and the staff are doing their best . Plenty of parking behind the surgery
