    I became ill over Christmas. I was due to go away on Dec 30 and needed an urgent review. I called the practice at 10.00am on 29th Dec and was asked to attend at 11.00am. I attended was seen quickly, reviewed thoroughly and left with antibiotics 20 minutes later. I was well enough to go away and don’t think I’d have been able to otherwise. Thank you to both the receptionist and the Doctor who made this happen.

  2. Review titled hanging on for 65 minutes then cut off

    I telephoned the meds depatment today and was no.10 in the queue, I waited 65 minutes and was number one when an automated voice came on and said the dept was only open from 10 am until 1 pm and to try later and then just cut me off! As it was only 12.50 they should have dealt with my call,think they just knocked off early. Then rang general enquiries (nice lady) no. 5 in queue waited about 20 mins, hopefully sorted but not impressed with meds prescription renewal. Go in it would be quicker although I have mobility issues so not right for me.

    Horrific, when calling you get appointments offered for 6 weeks time, nothing sooner. So basically unless you plan ahead you won’t see a doctor at this place until long after you’re better or hospitalised. Now they’re putting all efforts into merging; more patients you can’t and won’t be able to facilitate?!

    Was left without antidepressants cold turkey for several weeks due to a "printing error" after my prescription was approved and supposedly ready to pick up. No one updated me or explained why it happened and there was a complete lack of communication as to what the issue was. Had to call multiple times to follow up and still haven't received my prescription. Absolutely shocking and negligent.

    Rang up 8 am had the misfortune of speaking to a lady who was rude couldn't care less and obviously has no time for anybody. Her entire attitude was absolutely shocking and still couldn't even get a phone appointment its 8 in the morning no way can they be full

    I'm fortunate in that I haven't had the need to visit my GP surgery for a few years, but on all the occasions I have, without exception, the GP I've been assigned has been appropriately friendly, courteous, respectful, competent, and so on. I visited today because I was suspicious of a new mole/mark on my back though it turned out to be harmless. The GP took the time to explain to me what it was; to always be vigilant and have new features checked by a doctor, and even texted me a pdf as I was interested in the details and I sometimes struggle to follow speech - especially when I'm unfamiliar with the words. I was just struck by how frictionless the entire process was. The Practice has always seemed competent in organisation - messages and call taking and so on. The reception staff and nurses have always seemed very good too. I'm taking the time to write this because I'm aware of how much pressure our precious NHS is under and how things have been particularly uninspiring for all the hard-working NHS staff. I'm very happy that we have such brilliant services and brilliant personnel that comprise it. Thanks. :) -- On this specific occasion the GP actually came out of the nearby consultation room and called me in person - in the main waiting area. In fact I think similar has happened before when I've visited. One thing I personally find a little "awkward" when visiting is listening out for my name in the main waiting area. Personally I prefer a visible clock, and I suppose I would benefit from visual alerts for my name. I'm not deaf, but can find it difficult to pick apart competing sound sources, and am a little anxious in social settings (ASD). But I suppose some people might be bothered by a clock (and no doubt have a mobile phone) and maybe there's privacy issues for visual name alerts, I don't know. I would like being able to make online appointments because of my social reticence - although to be fair it's never actually been an issue getting through to the reception staff who are always helpful and friendly. I can't think of anything else to complain about! I'm very happy with the Practice.

    Never had a problem in getting an appointment, blood test, podiatry visit or medication review. Superb Practice I’d recommend to anyone. Lovely buildings and personable staff always willing to help. Friendly service. Thank you
