  1. Review titled It’s ok!

Rated 3 stars out of 5

The doctor I saw firstly told me to stop shouting at her (which I wasn’t). Then insisted that I do a fit test and have a colonoscopy which I said I would only have done under sedation but had nobody to bring me home afterwards! She then said she didn’t know any hospital that would do it under sedation! So unfortunately I left the surgery! When I got home I emailed a request for a doctors letter to take with me to Corfu. To be honest they did respond pretty quickly. However today I went to pay for the letter and it cost me £60! All for typing a letter!

Dear patient, Thank you for sharing your feedback. Hospitals have their own protocols and unfortunately no hospitals or secondary care will provide colonoscopy under sedation. The charge for the letter is for non NHS work. You were told about the charge before the letter was issued which you kindly agreed. Thank you.

  2. Review titled accommodating and helpful practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

never had a trouble getting an appointment and the helpful receptions have always offered me an alternative option to help me if I cannot see my own doctor. When I have seen my own Dr, she has always been informative regarding my diabetes and put me at ease if I am worried about it. I see the surgery has a physiotherapist there and a mental health person as well as the 3 nurses - always found them all very helpful and no have complaints. The ways things are at the moment with the NHS, I am grateful to have a decent doctors I can call.

  3. Review titled Poor people skills (reception)

Rated 1 star out of 5

My 83 year mother is a patient here and had a fall near to the surgery on Friday, she managed to walk there just to get some help (her face was covered in blood as she hit her face) but they offered not even the most basic duty of care towards her! Not even a chair, water, tissue, nothing! All they said was that it isn’t a walk in and you need to go a&e. We appreciate that this is the case but as she had just fallen and in a bit of a daze you would of thought especially a doctors surgery to have an understanding attitude towards her, I’m sure she would of been looked after better had she walked into a shop! If it wasn’t for the kindness of two people walking her home I dread to think what would have happened! If your staff can’t even offer a caring, understanding and warmth attitude towards people in general then they’re not fit to work least of all in a gp’s surgery!!
