    As a newly registered patient, I would like to thank everyone at Herne Hill for helping me with an urgent prescription request during a difficult time. I'm aware of the pressure on the health service at the moment and I am extremely grateful for your care and professionalism.

    i have been with this practice a long time but since they joined up with another practice the people in the practice are very rude and they think they can speak to you anyway they want to you are not allowed to visit the surgery everything has to be discussed on the phone i find it difficult to discuss some things on the phone and feel that you should be allowed now to see a doctor in the practice and not discuss your problem with the receptionist i think they are the only practice in south east London ie se24 odl/se23/se21 who does not allow patients to come to the surgery you cannot even book on the patient access When you ring in there are never any a appointments left when the surgery looks at the nhs website they say you should get in touch with the surgery to discuss the problem what is the point you are not going to win because they all stick together

It is not acceptable for any staff member of the Herne Hill Group Practice to be rude in their dealings with the public. While we are running a triage system there are less appointments available to be booked online. We are currently reviewing the booking system so we can improve the access for our patients. Thank you.     I would recommend Herne Hill Group Practice wholeheartedly. Care received there, both for me and my family, has been professional and appropriate. At times we have felt that doctors went above and beyond to help in difficult times. Thank you!

    i was supposed to have received a phone call from a doctor this practice when rang the practice the receptionist told me he had rung twice already i had my phone by me and it did not ring i do not know why these doctors say they have rung when they have not

    Recently I phoned the surgery at 8am to make an appointment. A GP phoned me back before 8.30am and said she thought it was reasonable I should see a GP, and made an appointment for me the next day. I saw a very helpful GP who referred me to Kings, and I have been offered an appointment within 2 weeks. When friends say they can't get appointments at their surgeries I always say how brilliant it is at 74. I have been a patient here for over 30 years. Thank you!

    I have been seen in the surgery twice recently, and my service was excellent. The two most recent appointments I have had face to face I was given a thorough assessment by the clinician which took into account the complex medical problems I have. I was given an appointment on the day I phoned up and admin staff were polite and efficient despite the large volumes of calls they have to take which is constant

    can you please say why at 0805 there were no appointments to book on line if you where to phone you would be waiting up to 45 minutes to get through and fined no appointments this is dreadful this happened today friday 21st October 2022

    Dear Patient, Thank you for your feedback. Apologies for your unsatisfactory experience. It was a busy half-term day, just before the weekend and our appointments have been taken up quicker than usual. We have received 445 calls that day which shows a big demand. Many of our appointments are not available to be booked online as they have to be triaged by our reception team first. For example: - Trainee Doctors, Physician Associates, Pharmacists, First Contact Practitioners, Social Prescribers, Nursers, Dietician etc. - all extended access appointments at HUB/PCN GPs, Nurses, Pharmacists Therefore, patients calling in the practice in the morning could have been offered these non-online bookable appointments and/or booked with a Duty Doctor who deals with the same day urgent matters which cannot wait till the next day we are opened. The Practice provides over and above the contractually required number of appointments. We hope that your future experiences using the service are more satisfactory.
