Review titled Lacking common courtesy
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Chloe - Posted on 08 October 2024
A couple of examples I noticed on my recent visit, firstly, I found a book in the waiting room which I handed in to the receptionist, however the receptionist appeared to do her upmost to avoid eye contact and interacting with me. She appeared to be walking with some sort of urgency up and down the room, but not actually doing a lot, she eventually responded after I said ‘excuse me’ the third time, she then sat back down infront of the computer. Secondly, the GP I was seeing entered the room and called my sons name, by the time I had bent down and picked up the baby carrier, changing bag and got my 2 year old sons attention the GP had disappeared, leaving another patient to help hold the door open, then I couldn’t find my GP as she had gone in a room and shut that door behind her also. Another member of staff (perhaps the nurse) saw me looking rather lost in the corridor and pointed me in the direction of the GP who was sat in her room waiting in front of her computer. Staff should comsider that they are in a role whereby the have to face the general public and common courtesy such as holding open a door, or leaving the door a jar so patients know where to go wouldn’t go a miss.

Review titled Lax Liars
Rated 3 stars out of 5

GP’s are known for their incredible lax approach to timekeeping and care about their patients commitments. This practice shines in this respect. I recently waited an hour for an appointment in person that was running “pretty on time” and an hour later I queried only to discover that I’d been marked down as having attended. I had not. Therefore, today, when having booked a 9am phone consult (out of an array of times) and having waited an hour, I contacted the practice where I was informed that I was not booking a time, but an entire 3 hour window. This is a pathetic travesty. The practice clearly has no care for the fact patients have lives and jobs. If you are booking a window of time, it should state this. It did not. I chose the earliest time available so that it wouldn’t interfere with potential work. I’m now expected to wait by my phone for another 2 hours whilst at work. No other profession carries such disrespect for their clientele.
