  1. Review titled Amazing doctors

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 24 August 2024

Called the surgery in the afternoon for an emergency appointment for my two year old, the reception staff acted quickly and were very caring. Within 10 minuets the doctor called me got me to send photos and called me back with the advice of taking my child straight to a&e. The doctor was so caring and helpful as were the reception team. I can’t thank the surgery enough not only on this occasion but for every appointment where they show the up most care and professionalism. The hospital staff advised that the GP had acted in the best way possible and I couldn’t not agree more.

  2. Review titled Excellent compassion

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 27 July 2024

Extremely excellent service from the staff on duty. My nan and l were waiting in the waiting room when there was an emergency. The receptionisst were very shift, and helpful, and got help within seconds. The nurse attended very calm, showed compassion, very knowledgeable, reassuraning and showing outstanding empathy to both the patient and the family. The GP attended the murse gave handover still monitoring. The GP was very friendly and appeared a experience GP, polite, friendly, and outstanding empathy and skills. The nurse offered to see the patient on Monday to review. The nurse and the GP both gave emergency advice for the weekend, and the nurse told the patient she would call later which showed the follow up of care. I felt very safe and happy that my nan is a patient at this surgery.

Dear Patient, Thank you so much for your 5 star review. I am sure this must have been quite frightening to witness and I hope that you and your nan are feeling ok as well. All of our staff are trained on how to react in an emergency situation, and I am so glad that we were on hand to help our patient in the waiting room with skill, kindness and compassion. It is testament to our staff that you feel happy, and feel that your nan is safe in our hands. Thank you for sharing this with us. I will make sure that all staff involved are made aware of your comments, and will discuss your review in our next practice meeting. Thank you once again. 3. Review titled Poor Annual Asthma Review Experience

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Tim Parkes - Posted on 25 July 2024

I had to book my own Annual Asthma Review as it had been 15 months since my last one. The examining Nurse had notes on screen but demonstrated a lack of deeper knowledge and understanding regarding my own individual personal medical and Hospital history, particularly with regard to the totality & inter connectivity of my conditions, how any singular diagnosis/condition impacts upon another, and how this in turn affects wider adl's, and overall quality of life. No Peak Expiratory Flow Spirometry was performed to see what my lung function was on the day, the Nurse didn't appear to know anything regarding posture induced airflow limitation, nor what the difference between "Asthma", and what "air hunger/starvation, or, dyspnea" is. The Nurse was dismissive of much that I tried to explain, and appeared more interested in "ticking boxes" when registering results of Oxygen Sats, Blood Pressure, my weight, and issuing me with a Steroid Treatment Card, (despite me being prescribed Steroids at this Surgery since 2018). The Nurse spoke to me in a moderately condescending manner, (essentially as if I were a "naughty 4 year old child"), when asking me what I would do if I had an Asthma attack, which I tried to explain was essentially a moot point (as I haven't had an Asthma Attack in over 54 years), instead preferring to point me towards what "guidance" states, as opposed to listening to me, and treating me as an "individual". Overall, not happy in any way, shape or form.

Dear Mr Parkes, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for the practice. I am so very sorry to hear that you were not happy with your recent asthma review with the practice nurse. I have tried to call you on several occasions to discuss this further, unfortunately I have been unable to reach you. I have spoken with the nurse concerned and would very much like to discuss your review further, however I feel that this is not the correct forum to discuss your personal medical information. With this in mind, I would be most grateful if you could please call the surgery on 0121 506 6850 so that we can arrange an alternate way to address your concerns. Kindest regards Linda Jones Practice Manager

  4. Review titled Not given information before booked appointment

Rated 2 stars out of 5

by Michelle Fellows - Posted on 25 June 2024

I came into the practice today expecting a B12 injection to be told the doctors are not giving these injections until another blood check is done. This is fine in itself, to be re-checked, my issue is this appointment was booked 12 weeks ago at last B12 injection so why was i not informed before today so bloods could have either been taken previously or at todays appointment. There is no excuse of not keeping patients informed, we get text messages when it suits you.

Dear Michelle, Thank you for your feedback which allows us to improve our service not only for you, but all of our patients. I am very sorry that you have been unhappy with the service provided at your last appointment. I can only imagine how frustrating this must have been. I can see from your response that you understand the importance of a blood test, however as you rightly state, this could have been done prior to this appointment. Unfortunately, this was an oversight on our part and I am very sorry for this. We could not take your blood during your appointment because the courier who is sent to take our samples to the hospital had already made our final collection. I realise this has meant that you have the inconvenience of coming back to the surgery, and I apologise wholeheartedly for this. I will relay your feedback to our nursing and reception teams and discuss possible solutions with them to ensure this does not occur again. I will also discuss this in our next practice meeting so all staff are aware and we can reflect on what happened and learn from it. Thank you once more for taking the time to leave feedback for us. Kindest regards Linda Jones Practice Manager

Had a phone consultation. He was clear with his diagnosis, gave an idea on how to move forward, and I feel positive that things might finally start to improve for me after being let down by previous surgeries.

  8. Review titled Fantastic practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 25 April 2024

Another excellent appointment with Dr today as well as a fantastic appointment last week for my four year old. Both dr’s were patient and attentive and really explained everything. They listened to my concerns and were very caring and understanding. Reception team were excellent in organising both appointments, which can be stressful when you have an unwell child. I could not fault the surgery for the care they always provide to my children, so many improvements have been made and it really shows.

Dear Patient, Thank you very much for your 5 star rating for our practice. All our staff work exceedingly hard to make our patients experience as positive as it can possibly be. I am glad that your consultations with the doctors were good and you felt reassured, understood, and that the GP was caring toward you and your children. It is very stressful when your children are poorly, and I am very happy that both our reception team and clinical staff helped to alleviate some of this for you. I will make sure that your review is discussed at our next practice meeting, and that our staff are acknowledged for their hard work. Thank you once more for your feedback. I want to thank both ladies in the prescription office for all their help and support they have given me regarding issues with medicines and queries regarding my parents who I look after. without their help and support it would have been far more difficult in resolving issues. They are both now in a care home and being well looked after. Nothing was too much trouble for these two wonderful ladies. THank you so much for your kindness and support.
