I feel worse when i leave this surgery than when i arrive. I feel like you have a price tag with your illness and don't get the proper care. I feel fobbed off a lot of the time. I have had pain medication stopped that my previous doctor at the practice perscribed which has had a detrimental effect on my health, I have been told to take alternative forms of physio at my own cost. Never get sent for scans to get to the bottom of issues. It stops me wanting to goto the doctor when i have issues. Most recently i ended up in hospital for 3 days to have surgery because i left a problem that got really bad, all because i didnt want to goto this practice because of previous bad experiences

Dear Patient Thank you for your feedback. We were very sorry to read this review, as we try very hard to meet the needs of all of our patients equally. We would very much like to understand and respond to your concerns. However it is very difficult to address them without looking at each of these issues in context and knowing who you are. Please could we ask you to contact the surgery using the surgery email address hindon.surgery@nhs.net and we will do our best to help. Dr Fiona Dawe GP

  2. Review titled An Outstanding Practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

I have had significant health issues for the past 18 months and I can honestly say that my doctor and everyone at Hindon Surgery have been fantastic. I have just seen the review below this one and I am shocked and dismayed at what has been written. I do not recognise the surgery they are talking about and I know Hindon Surgery would want to put anything right if they could, but the reviewer is anonymous! I hope this person gets the help they need as I suspect they have reviewed the wrong surgery. My doctor and her team always make me feel as if I am their only patient. They go above and beyond to help and support through difficult times and have made a really horrible time much more bearable. There are many, many occasions that I could praise them for but I have picked out a few. When I was first diagnosed, I was telephoned at home and my doctor ensured that my transition to hospital was as easy as possible with no waiting in Accident and Emergency. I remember many calls to ensure I was ok. Throughout my treatment, I knew I could ring, email or see a doctor whenever I needed to. I was encouraged to go for 'chats' to ensure my mental health was ok and I felt supported and cared for. At times I have felt overwhelmed and a hospital phobia added to the difficulties, but my doctor and her team ensured I had counselling to help with the phobia and she was in regular contact with consultants to keep me updated as regularly and quickly as she could. I had a slight reaction to an Mri scan and another doctor noticed a late email to my doctor asking for reassurance. He knew she wasn't in clinic so telephoned me at home at 8 o'clock in the evening to ensure I was ok! Today I rang the surgery for an appointment at 8.00 am and was given one for 8.50 am today! I was reassured, given time and felt supported and cared for as always. I have always been able to contact the surgery in some way and responses are either immediate or within a few hours. In fact my consultants used to joke about 'the only surgery in the country where the telephone is answered within three rings! ' Whenever I spoke to anyone in hospital about Hindon, it was met with approval and great respect. These are just a few examples of the excellent service that Hindon Surgery offers. It is a thoroughly modern and efficient surgery with old fashioned care and values. The doctors, nurses and administration staff are kind, supportive, knowledgeable, efficient and empathetic and I feel privileged and incredibly grateful to be able to call Hindon my surgery. Huge thanks to everyone!
