    Went to make appointment was seen to by reception got my appointment for same day at 9.35 was called in to see doctor on time doctor let me tell him what was wrong with me took my blood pressure and made appointments with hospital he was very polite all I can say keep up with the fantastic service you provide the community

    1 week after having blood tests I was contacted to have a face to face meeting with a Doctor, was told results, everything ok apart from slightly elevated pancreas figure, within a few hours I had an appointment for MRI scan in 7 days

    Always doing their best to accommodate when needing appointment etc. Staff always pleasant x helpful when dealing with you. Also doctors x nurses have time for you when dealing with your medical problem

    Gp was on time for my appointment. Professional for nature of my appointment and medication and treatment plan given. My notes were also reviewed and sent for bloods also. Overall a very efficient service given and would recommend to others.

    You are told you can't get an appointment or a phone consultation, you just have to phone at 8am. The lines are constantly engaged, and when you get through there are no appointments, there is no way to do anything on line in terms of outlining symptoms to get a prescription, all the staff say is go to A and E or the walk in centre. Dreadful.

    Dear Patient, I am sorry that you are dissatisfied with the appointment system and the phone lines being constantly engaged, the call volumes at 8am are excessive and we have staff answering calls constantly. We have re-introduced online consultations that you can access via the practice website. Such consultations are triaged by the GP’s at the practice and offer patients an alternative option to calling at 8am. I am disappointed that you claim that the staff tell you to go to A& E or the Walk in Centre when we have a number of alternative services working alongside the Practice such as Extended Access.     The appointment system just does not work for people who work. I have phoned on a number of occasions at 8am during school holidays, to wait up to 45 mins to get through, to then be told no appointments left, and to call again tomorrow. As my issue is not urgent, I tried calling mid morning, hoping to get a telephone appointment, however was again told no appointments left, and to call again after the weekend. The problem is I have to be in work for 9am, but have to do the school run beforehand, leaving your appointment system inaccessible to myself. I honestly wish I had stayed with my previous GP and will be considering changing my GP practice again, as for the past year I have been going to the local walk-in centre to be seen.

    Dear Patient, I am sorry that you have experienced issues with the appointment system. We have now introduced Patchs which allows you to contact the practice online via the website, we hope that this will offer patients an alternative to ringing the practice. We also have pre-bookable appointments to allow patients to book in advance.     Early September after 3 weeks of coughing advised by local pharmacist to see my GP. Phoned Practice @ 8am the following day. Provided with a GP appointment for later that morning. GP diagnosed chest infection and prescribed antibiotics. From arriving at the practice & seeing the GP the support, assistance and care I received was exemplary. I was also advised to attend Garston Walk-in clinic for a chest x-Ray. I attended Garston the following day, arriving at 10.27 and left @ 10.36 having completed the chest X-ray. Two weeks later and spoke to the Practice nurse-practioner to discuss x-Ray results and I was advised To undertake respiratory/ lung function tests and this was duly arranged. The process to ensure a complete and thorough review of my case was not only comforting but utterly professional. On 10th November I attended the Bluebell Centre in Huyton and underwent the prescribed Spirometry and FeNO testing. The results were excellent and once again demonstrated the complete care provided by the NHS in so many areas. Everyone I’ve dealt with at the Hollies Medical centre, Garston Health Centre and the Bluebell Pcrc have been utterly brilliant. The whole process was seamless and the integrated working of Practice, Knowsley Respiratory Service, Garston Walk-In demonstrates how well the NHS and its systems can operate. More importantly are the staff who undertake all these functions. They have been brilliant and I am so thankful for their hard work, diligence and care
