Review titled Update to mediation
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Yvonne Dixon - Posted on 23 May 2024
I have been losing my mobility. I am in pain everyday. The consultant changed my prescription and it still hasn't been given to me.

Review titled Disappointed and concerned
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 29 April 2024
I have now had 4 appointments cancelled with only one offered as an alternate date - which was subsequently cancelled this morning. I am waiting for test results and was asked to contact the surgery. I feel not only disappointed by the service but concerned that my health does not seem to be a priority. I will try to book again but if things do not improve with the service I will consider moving Practice.

Review titled Poor Practice management
Rated 2 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 28 March 2024
Even though the GPs are caring and knowledgeable, getting to their service is very difficult. Admin management, pharmacist and nurse services are below the expected standard, with passive and rude receptionist ( 1 is very professional and caring) wrong repeat prescription issued, cancelled appointment, long waiting time to speak to reception only to have the call cut when it is your time. Once secured a specialist appointment, despite official communication, it's never clear if the practice receives the consultation results. Record are often lost in transit, delayed, not followed up by the practice. There is no system of safety netting towards the patient. I am reasonably well and I am motivated enough to assertively look for missing communication, reschedule cancelled appointment, check wrong repeat prescription but I feel the practice management, nurse and pharmacist service lack the level of precision required by the nature of their business.

Review titled Can never got an apt no matter how unwell my child is
Rated 1 star out of 5

My 3 year daughter has infected chicken pox she is not eating or drinking and I am very worried. I phoned the GP in tears and just told me there are no appointments go to A and E. She’s only been unwell twice before once with Scarlett fever and once with breathing difficulties as a baby and every time the doctor have refused to see her saying there simply aren’t any appointments available so I’ve had to go to a A and E. What the point in even having a GP if can’t get a very unwell small child seen

Review titled Deliberately poor appointment systems designed to confuse
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 17 April 2023
Practice website states that the best ways to make appointments are via the NHS app or My Patient Access. Having gone to the effort of setting these both up, neither allow booking appointments. The App simply says this isn't an option, and the My Patient Experience website will only allow booking of smear tests (I am male). So I try the phone, which has an option: 'to make, change or cancel an appointment, press 1'. When you select this, you get the following: 'to change or cancel an appointment, press 1. To hear these options again, press *'. ie, no option to make a booking. So I called again, ignored the routing options that lead to nowhere, and have now been in a queue for 35 minutes, in which time I have advanced 3 spaces. This is such poor user experience design that is seems intentionally designed to make people give up without seeking medical help. Also, when I tried to leave a review on the Practice website, when I selected 'negative' review, the button redirected me to the 'Contact us' form, which suggests the practice is trying to avoid receiving any negative feedback.

Review titled Impossible to get any type of appointment
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 09 May 2023
I have been with this surgery for a good 10 years. The GPS and nurses/healthcare assistants are great and the receptionists as helpful as they can be. It’s always been a bit of a palaver getting an appointment but not impossible. However since the new Lewisham Care Partnership it is impossible. It is particularly galling that the ‘all singing’ website is at pains to point out all the things you can pay to get but does not let you make an appointment. I spent hours and hours online trying to work out why I was only offered a smear, thinking the website was faulty. The hours in the telephone queue wondering why the automated telephone system offered me the option to book an appointment but then just told me I couldn’t, then more hours on the telephone queue trying to get through to the surgery to book and finally I had a painful email exchange and the telephone call with LewishamCare Partnership only to be told that appointments are ‘released’ at8am for that day and for anything else I had to phone or queue at reception. Wow 21st century service. I did not want an urgent appointment but did need to plan a withdrawal of medication under GP supervision. I think we all get there is a limited number of GP appointments and the system is stretched but as patients we need to be able to find an appointment not be stonewalled and manipulated. It is a waste of money and resources creating a website that fails to fulfill its primary purpose and therefore overload the surgery reception with people who would be happy to book online if only you would let them. Inexcusable ineptitude and really really poor patient care.

Review titled Getting Worse (1 year later)
Rated 1 star out of 5
by Lorna Jones - Posted on 07 February 2023
I left a review a year ago - so appalling that the practice hasn't replied. Things are getting worse. The surgery is completely uncontactable via phone - currently on hold, number 9 in the queue and fully expect to be on hold for the next hour. No direct email, forms submitted by the website take days to be answered, can't book a doctors appointment online via patient access or NHS app (only smears or paid for appointments) and now can't book using the automated system. The service continues to degrade as a result of the merging of locally practices into one "Lewisham Care partnership". Have not seen any benefit at all. When I do speak to anyone in reception or see a doctor at Honor Oak, they are great, but frustration is high just for simple tasks. The technology is there - use it.

Review titled Very poor phone access.
Rated 3 stars out of 5
by Anonymous - Posted on 20 January 2023
To communicate with the group practice is very poor indeed. A two hour wait in a phone queue is no good at all especially if it urgent as it has been for myself. I required some urgent advice and assistance for supurating leg ulcers that were supurating badly. The lymphodema in both legs has made the cleasing and dressing very difficult to do and I need some assistance urgently. As I type this complaint I'm still waiting for a response for the 2nd time in the phone queue. I had to give up on the 1st attempt after 2 hours.
