  1. Review titled Wonderful doctor who takes patient's concerns seriously.

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Hannah - Posted on 15 March 2025

I just wanted to express my immense gratitude and thanks to a doctor who treated me for my morning sickness. Since being prescribed the medicine I have been I've been able to eat normal food, go for a swim and do chores around my house - which while rather benign and small, just makes a massive difference to my mood. It's such a delight to feel normal and well again, rather than feeling sick or being sick constantly. Thank you for taking me seriously and being so caring and kind.

  2. Review titled Awful GP surgery

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 12 March 2025

Over the last few years I’ve had nothing but bad experiences at this GP practice. I’ve made several attempts to see a doctor about back pain and have been continually booked to see the same useless, incompetent and frankly uninterested Physio therapist who’s treatment recommendations are the same ‘copy & pasted’ rubbish every single time. This I can deal with, but the final straw is when my 6 week old daughter was given an ‘urgent’ appointment for 9 days after requesting to see a doctor. How on earth does 9 days constitute an urgent appointment? We also tried to schedule a 6-8 week check up for our daughter and were repeatedly told that we couldn’t book it until after she’d turned 8 weeks old. That makes no sense whatsoever. There are several other instances of inadequate care that I have personally experienced at this surgery, all of which are along the same lines and my previous examples. As a registered health care professional myself, I’m appalled by the level of care this surgery provides, or rather, fails to provide. I will be moving my family to a different GP surgery and will be suggesting to everyone I know who’re registered here to do the same.

Dear Anonymous We are sorry you are unhappy with the care provided. If you would like to contact us with examples we are happy to look in to these for you. We also have a complaints procedure which can be found on our web page. May I take this opportunity to inform you that we do operate a zero tolerance policy and ask that staff are treated with respect. Regards Hope House Surgery

  3. Review titled Wonderful GP practice

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Joanna - Posted on 04 November 2024

My 8yo daughter woke up with an unusual rash and feeling poorly. I was obviously worried and registered her in online straight away around 6.30am. I had a call back right around 8.30am which is when they open. We went in for my daughter's appointment. Had 2 lovely med students, and then a wonderful GP look after her. Very professional and kind people. It makes such a huge difference to me, as I've had some bad experiences at other surgeries. Thank you so much!

  4. Review titled Parking

Rated 4 stars out of 5

I have experienced problems with parking. I see you have mentioned your concerns on face book. Have you spoken verbally to the groups attending Hope House. I dropped a prescription off and there was no parking available but the reception area for patients was empty.

Dear Anonymous We are sorry you experienced difficulties parking today. We have reminded the Children's Centre, Health Visitors and those groups that have booked the meeting rooms and wellbeing space of the parking allocation and trust that they pass this on to their service users. It is important to us that these spaces are reserved for patients visiting the surgery for medical appointments with a clinician or dropping off samples. We encourage as many patients as possible to use the NHS App to order their repeat prescriptions.
