  1. Review titled Pharmacist consultation

Rated 5 stars out of 5

by Anonymous - Posted on 20 November 2024

Pharmacist rang to discuss medication suggested by hospital consultant. Pharmacist was happy to also advise on side effects of another medication I am taking and how to minimise them. Another appointment is planned to review how I'm tolerating the medication. Great service. Felt I was listened to and not rushed. Felt my concerns about side effects were not dismissed.

  3. Review titled Strong medical staff, some concern with admin staff.

Rated 3 stars out of 5

by Andrew Parker - Posted on 26 September 2024

I've been using this surgery for over 10 years now and what I can say is the doctors and nurses are good and genuinely want to help. Of course more recently they're in a difficult situation where the time they can spend with you gets shorter and shorter, but they work hard to over come this and support you. The admin, front desk and phone staff are what can let the practice down, not all of them but a few people who can come over a little rude and sometimes make people talk about personal things in a quiet open plan waiting room. The last time I was there an elderly lady was asked some delicate questions and made to talk about them with the receptionist and not a doctor in a private setting. The admin staff also sometimes have issues with calling you back or following up on things they commit to do. It's not a hideous problem, but I think they'd do really well if the admin side was as good as the medical side.

  4. Review titled Access to care

Rated 2 stars out of 5

We have been patients at the centre for many years, I have to say access to Gp appointments are very difficult. You are told to ring at 8 am to book an appointment but only the lucky few (10, I believe ) get through ?. Gone is the great service we used to get, you just turned up and waited . At least you got to see a doctor, at least you felt cared for and that your health mattered. Not anymore, since Covid the care and service is not what we have come to expect.

Thank you for your review. We are constantly monitoring access and demand. We offer a mixture of pre-booked and on the day appointments. Unfortunately we have to work within the resources available. We are currently offering a record number of appointments well above the threshold set by NHS England.

  5. Review titled No appointments

Rated 1 star out of 5

I have been asked by the GP to go in, unfortunately I had an appointment this Thursday but have to cancel, explained that this is an appointment that the GP asked me to attend, was told no pre-bookable appointments for 3 weeks and would need to call at 8am for an appointment, unfortunately as I said this is not convenient for me as work 12 hour shifts. Since covid this surgery has gone down hill, it seems that if need an appointment you can’t get one u less call at 8am and then it’s a matter of trying multiple times before getting contacted then a waiting game unless they cut you off you. No wonder people go to A&E to see someone, which then makes there wait time go up because alot are GP problems

  6. Review titled Not one time was successfully reach GP

Rated 1 star out of 5

by Mok - Posted on 30 January 2023

My family members and me were got difference kind of illness, but not one time successfully to reach the doctor, such as no online booking, no one answer the call at 8am, if I was lucky to call as long as 40 mins, there was the nurse tell me to call again on the next day at 8am (can preview there will be no one answer the calls again)! I experienced at least 3 times while I was sick. That is hopeless!
